Damage to and disruption of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services have increased the risk of waterborne diseases, including cholera and acute watery diarrhoea (AWD), as well as malnutrition, particularly among children under five and other vulnerable populations. To address these challenges, the Yemen WASH Consortium (YWC), composed of Oxfam, NRC, and YFCA, is planning to implement an integrated WASH interventions in eight districts across Hajjah, Al Hudaydah, Ibb, and Marib governorates. Building on the partners' extensive humanitarian experience and long-standing presence in Yemen, the consortium works to improve access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene services for crisis-affected internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host communities. The programme aims to reduce morbidity and mortality associated with waterborne diseases and malnutrition through sustainable, climate-resilient, and shock-responsive WASH interventions. It seeks to ensure equitable access to quality WASH services while strengthening community resilience to future emergencies and climate-related shocks. Collect community feedback and safely channel grievances to the MEAL/Accountability team.</li> <li><b>Incident Reporting: </b>Immediately document and report any field-level incidents, accidents, or safeguarding concerns using established reporting lines.</li></ul><p><b>2. Textbook (academic, remedial, reading stories) Distribution Verification</b></p><br><ul> <li><b>Field Verification:</b> Conduct physical field checks to verify that target schools have received the correct allocation of textbooks. Verify that textbooks are equitably and systematically distributed to students.</li> <li><b>Discrepancy Reporting:</b> Formally document the verification process, flagging any discrepancies, shortages, or supply-chain issues.[RS1] </li></ul><p><b>3. Reading</b><b>[RS2]</b><b> and Remedial Program Monitoring</b></p><br><ul> <li><b>Classroom Observations:</b> Monitor reading classes and track classes’ activity progress using approved monitoring observation forms.</li> <li><b>Qualitative Feedback:</b> Facilitate Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with adults (parents/teachers) and children to gauge program impact. Collect qualitative feedback from school staff, community members, fathers and mothers councils, and students on challenges and areas for improvement.</li></ul><p><b>4. Data Collection, Reporting, and Documentation</b></p><br><ul> <li><b>Digital Data Collection:</b> Utilize mobile data collection tools - KOBOToolbox - to conduct site inspections and input monitoring data in real-time. Ensure that all data collected via mobile devices is uploaded promptly and deleted from local storage according to project security protocols.</li> <li><b>Informed Consent & Media:</b> Identify and document project field photos. <b>Written or recorded Informed Consent must be explicitly obtained</b> from participants (and signed by parents/guardians in the case of children) prior to capturing any identifiable images or stories, strictly following organizational communication guidelines.</li></ul><p><b>Data Protection, Privacy, and Confidentiality</b></p><br><ul> <li><b>Protection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII):</b> The enumerator must strictly safeguard all PII (including names, locations, contact details, photos, and biometric data) of beneficiaries, school staff, and children. No PII should be stored on personal devices longer than necessary to complete the immediate upload task.</li> <li><b>Confidentiality of Child Data:</b> In alignment with international Child Protection standards, all data concerning minors (such as reading assessment scores or Focus Group Discussion notes) must be strictly confidential. Children's full names or identifying traits must never be linked directly to public reports or shared via unencrypted channels.</li> <li><b>Data Sharing Restraints:</b> The enumerator is strictly prohibited from sharing project data, assessment results, or beneficiary lists with external actors, local authorities, or community members without explicit, written authorization from the SEAL Project Management team.
