With over half of their international business now coming from central and eastern Europe they are currently recruiting for experts in the above fields.</p></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><p>They currently seek a Senior Irrigation Engineer for a 12 month assignment in Yemen. To be successful you must have the following:</p><ul><li>Relevant advanced degree in agricultural or social sciences, or a combination of undergraduate degree in a relevant civil engineering degree</li><li>In-depth knowledge of agricultural development issues.</li><li>Strong demonstrated leadership, team building, coaching and facilitation skills.</li><li>Excellent command of English, both oral and written. Arabic would be an advantage.</li></ul><p>Professional experience required:</p><ul><li>A minimum of 10 years progressively in development assistance of which at least 5 years should be of practical field experience in agricultural development projects.</li><li>Involved as Team Leader of two long term development assistance projects (&gt;12 months).</li><li>Experience in European Commission project management.</li></ul><p></p></section>
