And ensure that stores are maintained according to the drugs standards, protocol and donor stander. </li> <li> Collecting and submitting of monthly consumption reports to Reproductive Health Officer. </li> <li>Maintain appropriate inventory on pharmaceutical and medical supplies. In warehouses and Health facilities.</li> <li>Work closely with GHO and DHO to ensure progress of project activities.</li> <li> Preparation of donation certificate, waybill for distribution of items to the targeted sites under supervision of Reproductive Health Coordinator.</li> <li> Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. </li> <li> Contributes to team effort to achieve project results. </li> <li> Updating and entering the data to drugs management systems including online systems </li> <li> Ensure that no shortage of medicines and medical supplies in HFs from available stock.</li> <li>Capacity building of MOH and Save the Children staff through supervision, training in drug/stock management and record keeping.</li> <li> Accomplish any additional task related to this position and project. </li> <li>Working effectively as team member and solve staff problems whenever occur. </li> <li> Take up any job-related assignment as requested by supervisor.</li> <li>Ensure that the health program has effective monitoring systems in place to collect, analyze and act on information collected and that health program activities are evaluated.</li> <li>Manage , Monitor and evaluate the stock in the Health facilities and SC Wearhouse and develop strategies to ensure achievement of objectives.</li> <li>Liaise with other implementing partners and local authorities to maximize collaboration and ensure proper coordination of activities </li> <li>Attend health management and coordination meetings. </li> <li>To take any other relevant task given by the supervisor</li> <li>Embed counter-fraud and ethical controls in all operational processes, ensuring compliance with donor and legal requirements, while collaborating with Finance and Counter-Fraud teams to mitigate risks and conduct assessments for high-value programs.</li></ul><p><span><b>Qualifications, Skills and Experience</b></span></p><br><ul> <li>Bachelor degree in pharmaceutical sciences.</li> <li>More than 3 years of relevant work experience in pharmacy, ideally including in humanitarian – health INGO</li> <li>Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information and respond appropriately to questions from line managers.</li> <li>Ability and willingness to travel to project sites and HFs regularly.</li> <li>Strong English and Arabic language skills, both written and spoken.</li> <li>Excellent computer skills and especially good understanding and knowledge of Microsoft excel.</li> <li>Strong experience in GIK management.</li> <li>Experience in representation and interaction with partners & government officials.</li> <li>Good information seeking skills and analytical approach.</li> <li>Good knowledge of essential drugs, consumables and equipment. (This may be reduced to 3 years with an advanced university degree, if following standard our client equivalencies.) Experience working with the United Nations or other international organizations is highly desirable. Experience in contractor monitoring, WASH programmes, or infrastructure projects is an asset. Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and experience using ERP or project management systems, are desirable. <section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>The Logistics Officer will perform the following duties with full effectiveness, transparency, and integrity:</p><p>Ensure that all inbound supplies are as per the contract specifications in terms of quantity, quality, INCOTERMS and Distributed as per the approved distribution plans.</p><p>Provide technical support on specifications, cost implications and logistics arrangements for safe delivery of supplies</p><p>Provide advice and technical support to suppliers, customs clearance agents and office team on required logistics arrangements to facilitate projects implementation and the flow of supplies.</p><p>Ensure that goods and services are provided according to client needs with lead times that meet contracts deadlines</p><p>Ensure that all logistics actions are conducted as required by Our client according to Our client Financial Rules and Regulations and the applicable policies and procedures as well as the highest degree of personal and professional ethics;</p><p>Update Logistics standard operating procedures to ensure best practices that meets operational needs</p><p>Review shipping documents and shipments exemption requests for information consistency prior to communicating with official authorities</p><p>Monitor the progress of shipments for our client and its clients and coordinate the delivery of the same at the client s delivery places</p><p>Assists in planning, designing and implementation of appropriate logistics systems including warehousing and in-country transport capacity, including establishment of Long Term Arrangements and frame agreements for e.g. customs clearance, storage, transport and distribution as might be required.</p><p>Monitor and follow-up timely clearance, delivery and handover of goods and consignments to partners</p><p>Track and monitor the water supply through trucking in response to daily complaints from the community.</p><p>Work closely with the operation engineers and hotline team to address all water trucking needs in response to any complaints or supply issues in the network.</p><p>Prepare daily and weekly reports on water tracking and quality sampling and testing.</p><p>Attend all operational and WASH meetings and contribute to the monitoring of water supply through trucking to NGOs and institutions .</p><p>Liaise with the contractor on the water trucking to all institutions if they are not getting private water supply.</p><p>Coordinate with the contractor on water quality testing</p><p>Ensure that all water suppliers are delivering water from approved wells and according to national standards.</p><p>Update and manage the master list of truck drivers and report any misbehaviors or illegal driving actions to UNICEF and SRAD if needed.</p><p>Support the Project Team in Project planning, implementation and day-to-day activities.</p><p>Support project management activities and monitor project implementation, in line with Our client Project Management Manual and Project Management ERP.</p><p>Support administrative, procurement and financial processes, such as Requests for Proposals announcements/ RFQs, and evaluation processes, communicating different administrative information to Project team, beneficiaries, and administrative monitoring of the grant contracts.</p><p>Manage the duty exemption process at all stages, including import clearances</p><p>Liaise with government authorities regarding the distribution plan</p><p>Liaise with other UN agencies and humanitarian partners on common logistics and supply chain issues</p><p>Develop delivery schedules in collaboration with team member Sub-recipients.</p><p>Develop Standard operating procedures to ensure Good Storage and Distribution practices.</p><p>Develop plan for monitoring of storage and distribution of pharmaceuticals and health</p><p>To Project Manager</p><p>Treats all individuals with respect; Protracted conflict, economic deterioration, climate-related shocks, and constrained access to essential services continue to drive widespread humanitarian needs. In Government of Yemen (GoY) controlled areas, approximately one in two people experience acute food insecurity, as declining household purchasing power, inflation, and disrupted livelihoods leave millions unable to meet their basic food needs. Nearly 5.4 million people are experiencing IPC Phase 3 or above (Crisis or worse) acute food insecurity between June to September 2026, with 1.6 million people experiencing IPC Phase 4 (Emergency). Despite the harvest season, urgent needs are expected to persist from October December 2026, with 5.4 million people in IPC Phase 3 or above and deepening severity. The Head of Field Office will provide strategic leadership and overall management of field office operations, ensuring the effective and efficient use of human, financial, and operational resources to deliver high-quality programme activities aligned with the approved Interim Country Strategic Plan (ICSP and organizational policies. The role places a strong emphasis on fostering and sustaining strategic partnerships with government authorities, United Nations agencies, international non-governmental organizations (INGOs), and WFP cooperating partners within the area of responsibility to strengthen coordination, enhance operational effectiveness, and maximize programme impact. Description </p><br> <p>Yemen continues to face a severe humanitarian and development crisis driven by prolonged conflict, economic decline, and institutional fragility. These challenges have weakened governance systems, disrupted economic activity, and increased poverty, food insecurity, and vulnerability across the country. </p><br> <p> While humanitarian assistance remains essential, sustainable recovery requires longer-term investments in livelihoods, economic resilience, local governance, institutional strengthening, and climate-resilient agriculture. </p><br> <p> UNDP is implementing a portfolio of complementary projects to address these interconnected challenges. This includes the Resilient Economies and Sustainable Livelihoods for Empowerment in Yemen (RESOLVE) project funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) ; the Local Governance for Area-based Development (LoGABD) project funded by the European Union (EU) ; and the Climate-Resilient Agriculture and Job Opportunities in Yemen (SANABEL) project, also funded by the EU. These projects are designed with a synergistic, area-based approach to maximize impact and efficiency. </p><br> <p> RESOLVE (SDC) focuses on strengthening the resilience and economic empowerment of vulnerable communities in Marib and Hadramout governorates by promoting sustainable livelihoods through agribusiness development, agricultural value chain strengthening, improved access to finance, and enhanced local economic governance. </p><br> <p> LoGABD (EU) aims to strengthen the capacity of local authorities across seven governorates (Aden, Hadramout, Lahj, Marib, Taiz, Al Mahrah, Socotra) to effectively plan, budget, finance, and deliver public services, manage IDP populations, and foster climate resilience. It focuses on institutionalizing training hubs, improving public financial management, completing community-prioritized public works, and operationalizing Local Economic Development Councils and Local Development Funds. </p><br> <p> SANABEL (EU) is a joint FAO-UNDP project focused on climate-resilient agriculture and job creation. It aims to increase crop and livestock productivity through Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) and ecosystem-based adaptation (led by FAO) and strengthen climate-resilient agricultural value chains to generate decent jobs, formalized businesses, and inclusive economic growth (led by UNDP). </p><br> <p>By combining these three projects under one management umbrella, this position will ensure coherent and integrated implementation, maximize synergies, and leverage UNDP's expertise in governance, economic recovery, and resilience building. This portfolio approach aligns with the Area-Based Development (ABD) framework, ensuring that local priorities, as articulated in Governorate Economic and Social Development Plans, are effectively addressed. The incumbent will report to the UNDP Team Leader -Governance & Peacebuilding Portfolio and will provide strategic leadership and day-to-day management to the combined project team. </p><br> <p>The role requires exceptional leadership, strategic coordination, and stakeholder management skills, with a particular emphasis on governance and institutional strengthening,and the ability to deliver results across multiple complex and fragile environments. </p><br> <p><strong> 2. Scope of Work </strong></p><br> <p> Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager, the National Project Specialist will play a critical leadership role in the successful implementation of the integrated project portfolio. The incumbent will provide strategic coordination and management support, ensuring that project activities are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, aligned with UNDP rules and regulations and the donors’ operational requirements for this high-risk, Fragility, Conflict, and Violence (FCV) context. </p><br> <p>The primary objective of the position is to support the Project Manager in overseeing the day-to-day implementation and coordination of the three projects, with a particular focus on the governance and institutional strengthening components of the LoGABD project, with a particular focus on stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, and ensuring the achievement of project outcomes. </p><br> <p>3.
