One of these services is Energy services. Our client will be responsible for the design and implementation works of PV solar systems and diesel gensets that will increase the targeted facilities reliability and service capacity. All of that to be done ensuring highest standards in design, and respect of state of the art requirements for aesthetics, safety and sustainability. To hire professional Consultant Engineer able to provide a variety of engineering services required by the Our client under instructions and directions of the Project Manager, Renewable Energy Specialist and City Engineer. The engineering services desired include, but are not limited to: Role objectives The scope is to prepare technical designs, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and tender documents of solar system and/or genset system solutions to target facilities in accordance with Our client guidelines and standards. This will include but not limited to: Carry out field visits to target facilities - which may include traveling to various governates- to: a. Inspect and verify the actual needs; b. Consult with the facility s management and administration about the expected needs. c. Cooperate with electrical engineer to identify the required space for system required components such as Solar PV panels, distribution and control boards, batteries, Diesel generators and fuel tanks. d. Cooperate with the electrical engineer to Identify possible cable routs and any possible obstacles. e. Instruments. The engineer shall be familiar with measurement instruments and apparatus required for such assignment including Surveying Equipment such as TOTAL STATIONS. Prepare appropriate civil and steek structural designs for target facilities based on proposed energy system either solar or gensets - and according to site suitability. This will include the following: a. A full description of the target facility including its location (with GIS coordinates), existing capacity, functionality, provide photograph for the available areas for the required civil and steel structure either rooftop or on ground. b. AutoCAD drawings for the available areas presenting the south direction and azimuth, illustrating the proposed location and details for the panels, steel structure(s), Battey or Generator rooms. c. The design shall consider HSSE and aesthetic concerns. Provide technical and administrative support throughout all stages of designing processes and respond for any inquiries and modification requests from design review team through Our client energy specialist until getting final approval and design certificate. Working in coordination with Our client Renewable Energy Coordinator, City Engineers and Social Safeguard Officer. The consultant will prepare and deliver the required documents in a professional way within specified working period which will include but not limited to: - Technical assessment report. - High quality digital photographs. - AutoCAD detailed design using approved layout templates. - Sizing Calculation sheets. - Bill of Quantities (BOQ), including detailed specifications and cost estimation. All team s members shall working side by side and perform all tasks assigned cooperatively. Protecting the confidentiality of work. Any additional duties required as needed within the scope of the project. Project Supervising: The minimum criteria in regard to the duties responsibilities and expectations of the supervising during the implementation phase of the hybrid solar system project in accordance with Our client guidelines and standards. This will include but not limited to: Responsible for all QC activity on site, performing QC Assessments of work by Technicians. Conduct on- site observations to assure conformance with the contract documents regarding work, materials and equipment. Arrange and attend field observations where issues of conformity with approved design and specifications arise. Make sure that the contractor is adhering the minimum safety and quality policies and procedures. Review shop drawings and advise of any significant changes required. Issue field instructions for correction of any work that does not conform to the approved contract documents, and if needed, Request change orders when required for review, discussion and approval. Review the project file maintained on the site by the Supplier/contractor to ensure that the necessary tests have been performed and the results were satisfactory, issue remedial instructions if the test results were found unsatisfactory. Review the project file maintained at the site by the Supplier/contractor to ensure that all the necessary documents, such as, but not limited to, warranties, guarantees, test results, shop drawings, field instructions, reports and change orders, etc. Are filed and kept at a place. Review the implementation progress against the most current implementation progress schedule with the Supplier/contractor, evaluate its suggestions and submit recommendations. Review the payment requisitions presented by the Supplier/contractor and certify consistency with the implementation progress. Conduct an inspection of the development, or a portion of it, on request from the Supplier/contractor for issuance of a substantial completion certificate and develop a punch-list of incomplete items. Conduct an inspection of the development for the completion of the punch-list items. Inspect the material storage for their conformance with the contract requirements and general suitability, issue written recommendations, if necessary. Protracted conflict, severe economic deterioration, currency instability, climate-related shocks, and constrained access to essential services continue to drive widespread humanitarian needs. Within these areas, approximately one in two people experience acute food insecurity, such as declining household purchasing power, high inflation, and heavily disrupted livelihoods leave millions unable to meet their basic food needs. The humanitarian situation remains critical through the end of 2026. Data indicates that 5.4 million people are experiencing IPC Phase 3 or above (Crisis or worse) acute food insecurity between June and September 2026, with 1.6 million individuals pushed into IPC Phase 4 (Emergency). Despite the onset of the harvest season, these urgent needs are projected to persist and deepen in severity from October to December 2026, with the population in IPC Phase 3 or above remaining stuck at a staggering 5.4 million people. To deliver targeted assistance accountably within this intense operational window, the Marib Field Office requires a dedicated Programme Officer to provide operational support, track data compliance, and ensure the efficient execution of WFP's safety nets. Job Purpose: To provide everyday technical, operational, and data verification support for the implementation, tracking, and monitoring of WFP assistance programs within the Marib area of coverage. Reporting directly to the Head of Field Office, the Programme Officer (Consultant Level 1) will act as a key technical resource to ensure field-level food, cash, and nutrition activities are executed smoothly. Partner Guidance: Share approved guidelines with cooperating partner staff regarding record-keeping, ledger maintenance, and reporting templates as stipulated in active FLAs. </p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p>University Degree in international relations, social sciences, business administration, economics, or another relevant academic area.</p><p>Minimum of 3 years of professional work experience in humanitarian operations or project implementation. Experience with field monitoring and data checking is required.</p><p>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel for data verification), familiarity with digital mobile data collection tools, and strong teamwork skills. Basic awareness of cash-based transfers and biometric beneficiary registration databases (such as SCOPE) is highly desirable.</p><p>Fluency (Level C) in written and spoken English is required. Working knowledge of Arabic is a significant operational advantage.</p>

To deliver large-scale assistance safely, efficiently, and accountably, WFP relies heavily on its Cash-Based Transfer (CBT) and Identity Management (IDM) delivery infrastructure to meet acute food security and nutrition needs. The position is based in the WFP, Yemen country office and reports directly to the National Officer of the CBT Unit under the overall supervision of the Head of the CBT/IDM Unit. The incumbent supports the technical implementation, tracking, reconciliation, and coordination of CBT activities. The role requires strong initiative, technical accountability, and independent judgment to resolve day-to-day operational challenges, coordinate extensively with internal units and external Financial Service Providers (FSPs), and ensure the transparent and timely delivery of digital cash assistance to WFP beneficiaries. These challenges have affected the government’s ability to deliver services efficiently, implement reforms, and respond to evolving development priorities.</p><br> <p>Critical public systems—including public administration, statistical systems, public financial management (PFM), human resource management (HRM), and institutional coordination mechanisms—require substantial modernization to improve efficiency, transparency, accountability, and service delivery. Existing systems remain fragmented, largely manual, and constrained by outdated processes, weak infrastructure, and limited technical capacity.</p><br> <p>In response to these challenges, UNDP is implementing the project “Modernizing Public Institutions and Systems in Yemen (MPISY)” to support institutional strengthening and systems modernization across key government functions. Description </p><br> <p>Yemen continues to face a severe humanitarian and development crisis driven by prolonged conflict, economic decline, and institutional fragility. These challenges have weakened governance systems, disrupted economic activity, and increased poverty, food insecurity, and vulnerability across the country. </p><br> <p> While humanitarian assistance remains essential, sustainable recovery requires longer-term investments in livelihoods, economic resilience, local governance, institutional strengthening, and climate-resilient agriculture. </p><br> <p> UNDP is implementing a portfolio of complementary projects to address these interconnected challenges. This includes the Resilient Economies and Sustainable Livelihoods for Empowerment in Yemen (RESOLVE) project funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) ; the Local Governance for Area-based Development (LoGABD) project funded by the European Union (EU) ; and the Climate-Resilient Agriculture and Job Opportunities in Yemen (SANABEL) project, also funded by the EU. These projects are designed with a synergistic, area-based approach to maximize impact and efficiency. </p><br> <p> RESOLVE (SDC) focuses on strengthening the resilience and economic empowerment of vulnerable communities in Marib and Hadramout governorates by promoting sustainable livelihoods through agribusiness development, agricultural value chain strengthening, improved access to finance, and enhanced local economic governance. </p><br> <p> LoGABD (EU) aims to strengthen the capacity of local authorities across seven governorates (Aden, Hadramout, Lahj, Marib, Taiz, Al Mahrah, Socotra) to effectively plan, budget, finance, and deliver public services, manage IDP populations, and foster climate resilience. It focuses on institutionalizing training hubs, improving public financial management, completing community-prioritized public works, and operationalizing Local Economic Development Councils and Local Development Funds. </p><br> <p> SANABEL (EU) is a joint FAO-UNDP project focused on climate-resilient agriculture and job creation. It aims to increase crop and livestock productivity through Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) and ecosystem-based adaptation (led by FAO) and strengthen climate-resilient agricultural value chains to generate decent jobs, formalized businesses, and inclusive economic growth (led by UNDP). </p><br> <p>By combining these three projects under one management umbrella, this position will ensure coherent and integrated implementation, maximize synergies, and leverage UNDP's expertise in governance, economic recovery, and resilience building.
