PUI is developing its integrated approach with interventions in the areas of Health, Nutrition, Food Security and WaSH. In addition, PUI works on the fight against malnutrition, support to primary and reproductive health services (supply of inputs and nutrition, medical equipment), maintenance and rehabilitation of health centers (including sanitary infrastructures), training of medical staff, etc. The mission ensures an extensive presence in both the North and South of the country, with four bases. <section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p><span >The Cash Consortium of Yemen The Cash Consortium of Yemen (CCY) was established in 2020 to improve the living conditions of socio-economically vulnerable and conflict-affected individuals in Yemen. The CCY is led by the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) and includes Acted, Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), Mercy Corps, Solidarities International (SI) as co-partners, as well as the International Organization for Migration (IOM) as a non-funded EU partner. The CCY aims to maximize the effectiveness of cash assistance and support the transition to longer-term resilience programs through referrals. The CCY's response has been implemented across 13 governorates in Yemen, where vulnerability is high, and households are affected by conflict and environmental shocks or identified to be socio-economically vulnerable due to being unable to meet their basic survival needs As the Co-Lead for the National Cash and Market Working Group, CCY collaborates with other cash actors in Yemen to prevent duplication of efforts, ensuring a harmonized approach, and enabling the efficient allocation of resources to areas with high vulnerability.</span></p><p>Overall purpose of the role: This role is split between the Danish Refugee Council country office (75% FTE) and the CCY (25% FTE) Under the supervision of the DRC Country Director, the Advocacy Coordinator will be responsible for the definition and implementation of the DRC Yemen advocacy strategy and to further develop DRC Yemen s advocacy work and outputs. The postholder will take a leading role in ensuring evidence-based advocacy informs and influences key decision makers in accordance with the advocacy strategy, ensuring that the aid response across Yemen supports the most vulnerable population. The Advocacy Advisor works closely with DRC s regional and global advocacy teams as well as being the focal point for DRC Yemen on external communications. This includes the Resilient Economies and Sustainable Livelihoods for Empowerment in Yemen (RESOLVE) project funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) ; the Local Governance for Area-based Development (LoGABD) project funded by the European Union (EU) ; and the Climate-Resilient Agriculture and Job Opportunities in Yemen (SANABEL) project, also funded by the EU. Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager, the incumbent will perform the following duties with professionalism, integrity, and efficiency:</p><p>Water Supply Monitoring and Coordination</p><ul><li>Coordinate and monitor water supply through water trucking activities to ensure timely delivery in accordance with project requirements.</li><li>Monitor contractors' performance and verify compliance with contractual obligations, approved schedules, and technical specifications.</li><li>Coordinate with operation engineers, the hotline team, contractors, and relevant stakeholders to address water supply interruptions, complaints, and operational issues.</li><li>Monitor water quality sampling and testing activities and ensure compliance with national standards and project requirements.</li><li>Verify that water suppliers obtain water from approved sources and comply with agreed quality standards.</li><li>Conduct regular field monitoring visits to verify service delivery, identify implementation gaps, and recommend corrective actions.</li><li>Monitor the performance of water trucking operations and prepare recommendations to improve operational efficiency.</li><li>Maintain and regularly update the database of water truck operators, contractors, and service providers while reporting any non-compliance or misconduct.</li></ul><p>Logistics and Operational Support</p><ul><li>Coordinate logistics arrangements related to water supply operations, including transportation, delivery schedules, and distribution plans.</li><li>Review shipping and logistics documentation for completeness and compliance before submission to relevant authorities.</li><li>Monitor the movement and delivery of project supplies and ensure timely clearance and handover to beneficiaries and implementing partners.</li><li>Provide technical support during procurement and logistics planning related to WASH interventions.</li><li>Support the preparation of technical specifications and provide inputs during procurement processes where required.</li><li>Contribute to the development and periodic review of logistics and operational Standard Operating <section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>Overview of position Our client is undertaking a project that aims to restore access to critical urban service in selected cities within the Republic of Yemen under Yemen Integrated Urban Services Emergency Project Phase two (YIUSEP-II) . One of these services is Energy services. Our client will be responsible for the design and implementation works of PV solar systems and diesel gensets that will increase the targeted facilities reliability and service capacity. All of that to be done ensuring highest standards in design, and respect of state of the art requirements for aesthetics, safety and sustainability. To hire professional Consultant Engineer able to provide a variety of engineering services required by the Our client under instructions and directions of the Project Manager, Renewable Energy Specialist and City Engineer. The engineering services desired include, but are not limited to:</p><p>Role objectives The scope is to prepare technical designs, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and tender documents of solar system and/or genset system solutions to target facilities in accordance with UNOPS guidelines and standards. This will include but not limited to:</p><ul><li>Carry out field visits to target facilities - which may include traveling to various governates- to:</li><ul><li>a. Inspect and verify the actual needs;</li><li>b. Consult with the facility s management and administration about the expected needs.</li><li>c. Cooperate with electrical engineer to identify the required space for system required components such as Solar PV panels, distribution and control boards, batteries, Diesel generators and fuel tanks.</li><li>d. Cooperate with the electrical engineer to Identify possible cable routs and any possible obstacles.</li><li>e. Instruments. The engineer shall be familiar with measurement instruments and apparatus required for such assignment including Surveying Equipment such as TOTAL STATIONS.</li></ul><li>Prepare appropriate civil and steek structural designs for target facilities based on proposed energy system either solar or gensets - and according to site suitability. This will include the following:</li><ul><li>a. A full description of the target facility including its location (with GIS coordinates), existing capacity, functionality, provide photograph for the available areas for the required civil and steel structure either rooftop or on ground.</li><li>b. AutoCAD drawings for the available areas presenting the south direction and azimuth, illustrating the proposed location and details for the panels, steel structure(s), Battey or Generator rooms.</li><li>c. The design shall consider HSSE and aesthetic concerns.</li></ul><li>Provide technical and administrative support throughout all stages of designing processes and respond for any inquiries and modification requests from design review team through UNOPS energy specialist until getting final approval and design certificate.</li><li>Working in coordination with UNOPS Renewable Energy Coordinator, City Engineers and Social Safeguard Officer.</li><li>The consultant will prepare and deliver the required documents in a professional way within specified working period which will include but not limited to:</li><ul><li>- Technical assessment report.</li><li>- High quality digital photographs.</li><li>- AutoCAD detailed design using approved layout templates.</li><li>- Sizing Calculation sheets.</li><li>- Bill of Quantities (BOQ), including detailed specifications and cost estimation.</li></ul><li>All team s members shall working side by side and perform all tasks assigned cooperatively.</li><li>Protecting the confidentiality of work.</li><li>Any additional duties required as needed within the scope of the project.</li></ul><p>Project Supervising: The minimum criteria in regard to the duties responsibilities and expectations of the supervising during the implementation phase of the hybrid solar system project in accordance with UNOPS guidelines and standards. This will include but not limited to:</p><ul><li>Responsible for all QC activity on site, performing QC Assessments of work by Technicians.</li><li>Conduct on- site observations to assure conformance with the contract documents regarding work, materials and equipment.</li><li>Arrange and attend field observations where issues of conformity with approved design and specifications arise.</li><li>Make sure that the contractor is adhering the minimum safety and quality policies and procedures.</li><li>Review shop drawings and advise of any significant changes required.</li><li>Issue field instructions for correction of any work that does not conform to the approved contract documents, and if needed, Request change orders when required for review, discussion and approval.</li><li>Review the project file maintained on the site by the Supplier/contractor to ensure that the necessary tests have been performed and the results were satisfactory, issue remedial instructions if the test results were found unsatisfactory.</li></ul></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><p>Key competencies 4.
