Location: Yemen POSITION SUMMARY: The Field MEAL Coordinator is responsible for supporting the effective implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) activities at the field level. The position ensures that MEAL systems, tools, and procedures are properly applied across projects, supporting evidence-based decision-making, quality programming, accountability to affected populations (AAP), and continuous learning. Duties and Responsibilities • Support the development and implementation of project-specific MEAL plans, frameworks, and monitoring systems in coordination with program teams. • Ensure effective coordination and integration of MEAL activities across field locations and projects. • Support the adaptation and roll-out of MEAL tools, guidelines, and procedures at the field level. • Provide technical support to field teams to ensure compliance with organizational MEAL standards and donor requirements. • Coordinate and conduct regular field monitoring visits, including activity monitoring, process monitoring, distribution monitoring, and Post-Intervention Monitoring (PIM). • Support the development and review of data collection tools using digital platforms such as KoboToolbox or other relevant systems. • Conduct field-level data quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability of information. • Support the implementation and strengthening of the Complaints and Feedback Mechanism (CFM) at the field level. • Monitor feedback trends, support complaint follow-up, and ensure timely referral and response in coordination with relevant teams. • Provide coaching and on-the-job support to field teams on MEAL concepts, tools, data collection methods, and accountability principles. • Support training sessions for staff, community mobilizers, and enumerators on MEAL-related topics. • Adherence to code of conduct, safeguarding policy, and PSEA policy. The mechanism prepositions and distributes emergency lifesaving commodities to populations affected by new crisis within 72 hours of trigger. Work closely with other logistics functions to understand the scope of the services required before issuing Request for Quotations (RFQs) Collect and analyze data related to the transport sector and undertake comprehensive logistics services market assessments in the country to recommend actions to the supervisor to improve performance of local logistics contracting operations. Conduct verification and validation of received data which also includes (site) visits to the transporters/logistics service providers yards/garages/offices. Carry out due diligence of the current WFP shortlisted/contracted and/or new logistics service providers. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and consolidate preliminary data analysis and prepare accurate and timely reports as and when required.
