Over 80 percent of Yemen’s population is estimated to need humanitarian assistance, and more than 2.5 million Yemenis have become IDPs. The ongoing conflict has destroyed much of the institutional ability of key ministries, governorates, and local authorities to deliver essential social services to citizens. Public service restoration is also essential for a smooth transition to recovery, as a political agreement is being negotiated. Combining communities’ own efforts with whatever limited state institutional capacity remains are needed to both curtail further humanitarian deterioration and the political ramifications of total state collapse. Yemen is one of the most food insecure countries in the world. Around 20 million people (70 percent of the population) are facing hunger, a 13 percent increase from 2017. The current conflict has led to a decline in the national economy. Gross Domestic Product was cut in half since 2015, and more than 80 percent of the population living below the poverty line. The fighting around the country’s seaports and the ensuing suspension of commercial imports and supply shortages, the depreciation of the Yemeni riyal, which is now worth barely a third of 2015 level, have combined to push the food prices up. Only half of health facilities are functioning, and many Yemenis in need of critical treatments especially for malnutrition are too poor to access the ones that are open. Beyond those at risk of famine, many millions with only emergency food assistance to survive, face a collapse in their immune systems – especially children and the elderly – increasing their vulnerability to malnutrition, cholera and other diseases. Chronic water shortages exacerbate food insecurity and risk of famine in areas where people depend on agriculture for food and income.</p><br> <p>This heightened crisis is calling for scaled-up support to address the immediate needs while also leveraging and enhancing national capacities and systems for resilience-building for populations in Yemen with increased vulnerabilities that can complement a largely insufficient humanitarian response and at the same time for the need to maintain the existing capacities and mechanisms at local and national level to maintain the foundation for future reconstruction and recovery.</p><br> <p>The World Bank funded projects aim to Improve access to food and, nutritious diets, social protection, economic opportunities, food security and effective management of water sector in Yemen. This is done through several activities including infrastructure rehabilitation, support to improve agriculture production and quality by reducing post-harvest losses and improving climate resilience and access to markets</p><br> <p>While ensuring direct support in a fragile context, UNDP, in partnership with the WB is also strategizing to ensure that short term benefits are translated into longer term development impact.<br> </p><br> <p><strong>Position Purpose</strong></p><br> <p>UNDP is seeking to recruit a Chief Technical Advisor to manage three World Bank funded projects. S/he shall work under guidance of the Deputy Resident Representative for Programme, and shall provide strategic advice and technical oversight for the projects under his/her responsibility to ensure that all outputs are of high quality and consistent with the delivery of results according to the Project Documents and Project Result Frameworks and will provide coordination and technical guidance to projects team consisting for successful implementation of the outputs and activities. <li>Strong experience (5+ years) in end-to-end recruitment in international or matrix environments.</li>
<li>Proven ability to advise and influence senior stakeholders.</li>
<li>Excellent sourcing capabilities and understanding of competitive markets.</li>
<li>Fluent German (mandatory) and fluent English.</li>
<li>Experience recruiting for R&D, commercial or industrial functions is appreciated.</li>

<p>As a Brand Marketing Intern, you will support the marketing team responsible for Veet and Durex while gaining exposure to the day-to-day operations of a global consumer goods company. This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to brand initiatives, work on meaningful projects, and develop valuable commercial and marketing skills.</p><br>
<p><strong>Duration:</strong> Minimum 6 months</p><br>

<li>Support the Brand Marketing team in executing marketing initiatives and campaigns.</li>
<li>Contribute to product launch activities and other strategic brand projects.</li>
<li>Conduct market and competitor research to identify trends and opportunities.</li>
<li>Analyze brand performance and market data to support business decisions.</li>
<li>Assist with the development of creative marketing materials, including digital and advertising initiatives.</li>
<li>Collaborate with internal teams and external agency partners to deliver projects effectively.</li>
<li>Take ownership of assigned projects and present recommendations to stakeholders when required.</li>

<li>Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.</li>
<li>Previous internship, university project, or relevant experience is beneficial </li>
<li>Native German language and good proficiency in English ( B2 level)</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, very good knowledge of PowerPoint and confidence working with data.</li>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Strong communication and collaboration skills.</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.</li>
