Background 1.  Office/Unit/Project Description  UNDP Yemen operates in one of the world’s most complex and protracted crises, where overlapping challenges of conflict, governance, and climate change create deep vulnerabilities for communities across the country. The Country Office’s Climate Change, Water, Energy, and Environment (CCWEE) portfolio is a core pillar of UNDP’s programming, focused on restoring essential services, strengthening local governance, and improving livelihoods through climate-resilient, inclusive, and sustainable development solutions. The portfolio works closely with national and local partners to implement integrated interventions across water, agriculture, energy, and institutional strengthening to address the interlinked drivers of fragility, inequality, and environmental degradation. In this context, the Integrated Water Resources Management for Enhanced Resilience in Yemen (IWRM-ERA) Project, funded by KfW, aims to strengthen climate resilience and improve water resources management in targeted areas of Taiz and Lahj governorates. The project supports sustainable water management, watershed rehabilitation, community engagement, and climate-resilient livelihoods to improve water security and enhance resilience to climate change. Furthermore, this position will also provide targeted cross-support to communication and visibility activities for other strategic initiatives under the broader CCWEE portfolio (including GEF, GCF, and other bilateral donors), ensuring unified thematic messaging. To enhance project visibility, stakeholder engagement, knowledge sharing, and advocacy, UNDP seeks a Communications Analyst to lead the development and implementation of communications and outreach activities.
