Project Manager - - Emergency Multi-sector
- Location: Aden/Lahj Governorates (with regular travel to other sites).
- Period: 12 months, renewable subject to performance.
- Duty Station: Life Makers Meeting Place Organization (LMMPO), Aden/Lahj –Yemen.
- Terms: Full Time Position (8 Eight hours per working day), with field visits to the work sites.
- Classification: Programs & projects Management\ Agriculture (ERA) and Food Security
- Expected start Date: 01-05-2025.
- Job grade: - third degree.

LMMPO is keen to have a competent candidate to fill the position of Project Manager- Emergency Multi-sector Agriculture (ERA) and Food Security.
Purpose/Scope of the task
Project Manager works directly with the supporting administration to create a work plan and provide supervision and support to relevant project staff regarding the implementation of project in the field. Project manager will be responsible of the daily affairs, monitoring and follow up the implementation of the project . (80% of his/her time would be in field and 20% would be in head office). Following up the implementation of activities of the project . In addition to preparing the final reports. And he or she will role in the field by visiting the field during the implementation of all the project activities and to provide mentoring sessions for the project field staff as required. ( Head & Field Office communication, reporting).
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
1. Ensure effective and high-quality implementation of project activities in line with the donor rules and regulations.
2. Coordinate with relevant LMMPO administrative units to ensure efficient execution of project activities.
3. Lead the project team by assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
4. Monitor project expenditures and ensure compliance with the approved budget.
5. Seek approvals for budget modifications in consultation with the senior engineer and finance team.
6. Serve as the Focal Point for communication with the donor, ensuring smooth information flow and alignment with the donor requirements.
7. Lead stakeholder engagement efforts to build relationships, ensure collaboration, and address concerns.
8. Oversee MEAL activities to track project progress, measure impact, and ensure accountability.
9. Ensure the project’s sustainability and impact through effective monitoring and evaluation.
10. Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with the project.
11. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
12. Prepare and submit project reports, including progress reports, activity reports, and final narrative reports.
13. Ensure all reports align with LMMPO and the donor standards and requirements.
14. Provide strong leadership to enhance project outcomes in areas such as food security, agriculture, water governance, empowerment, and economic resilience.
15. Leverage extensive experience and qualifications to guide the project team and stakeholders effectively.
16. Ensure all project activities comply with the donor rules, regulations, and best practices.
17. Maintain high-quality standards in project implementation and deliverables.
18. Focus on ensuring the long-term sustainability and impact of the project.
19. Work towards achieving the project’s goals and objectives in a manner that benefits the target communities.
20. Lead, motivate, and manage the project team to ensure high performance and collaboration.
21. Foster a positive and productive working environment.
22. Any other tasks related to the project.
Qualifications and Skills
Study and Training:
- Bachelor's degree in the same field
- Have at least 5 years of experience in the same field.
- Experience in implementing training and rehabilitation projects in the following areas:
- 1. Implementing food security projects.
- 2. Implementing agricultural projects.
- 3 to 5 years of work experience with local and international organizations in the same required.
- Work experience in Emergency Multi-sector Agriculture (ERA) and Food Security.,
Languages:
- Fluent in Arabic and English (Speaking & Writing).
