Job Title: Odoo Analyst
Reports to: Software Development Manager

Summary:

The Odoo Analyst acts as a central link between business stakeholders and the technical Odoo development team. This role ensures that Odoo implementations and customizations align with business requirements, improve operational efficiency, and support the company's strategic goals.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Odoo Business Analysis:

  • Gather and analyze business requirements related to Odoo modules (e.g., Sales, CRM, Inventory, Accounting, HR, etc.).
  • Document workflows and business processes that need to be mapped to Odoo functionality.
  • Determine when customization or development is required in Odoo, and define clear functional specifications for technical implementation.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and propose solutions using Odoo features and customizations.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories for the technical team.

Odoo System Analysis:

  • Evaluate current Odoo implementation and recommend improvements or upgrades.
  • Assist in defining technical specifications for custom modules, reports, and workflows.
  • Participate in Odoo testing, including UAT (User Acceptance Testing), to ensure business needs are met.
  • Support the integration of third-party systems with Odoo when required.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Act as a liaison between non-technical business users and Odoo developers.
  • Lead discovery workshops and requirements-gathering sessions.
  • Prepare clear documentation, flowcharts, and reports to communicate findings and proposals.
  • Track project timelines and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Odoo analysis, business systems analysis, or ERP implementation.
  •  Odoo certification (Functional or Technical) is a plus.
  • Project management or business analysis certifications (e.g., PMP, CBAP) are advantageous.
