Mission/ Core Purpose of the Job
We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Coordinator to arrange and coordinate the purchasing of solar equipment and services. The successful candidate will ensure timely delivery of high-quality, cost-efficient solar components for large-scale solar system projects. This role is vital in helping us achieve our mission of providing sustainable energy solutions
Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify suppliers for solar panels, inverters, batteries, and other critical components.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to secure the best terms and product availability.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and warranty terms for solar energy products and services.
- Conduct cost analyses to identify the most cost-effective solutions while ensuring high-quality standards.
- Work closely with engineers, project managers, and installers to understand specific project needs.
- Ensure the timely procurement and delivery of solar components to project sites, preventing delays in installation.
- Negotiate contract, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure purchasing requirements are met.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier agreements.
- Ensure that all procurement activities comply with internal company policies and regulations.
Job Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor degree in Business, Procurement, Engineering Business or related field.
- Proven Experience in Procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management preferably in renewable energy, solar, or electrical industries.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the business environment, preferably in the Telecommunications industry.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Procurement or Supply Chain.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of relevant law, regulations, and standards that apply to procurement.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and ethical sourcing requirements.
- Knowledge and experience of relevant software applications - spreadsheets, word processing, and Oracle.
Skills / Competencies:
- Effective verbal and listening communications skills in both English and Arabic
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain a good working relationship with all co-workers and the Suppliers.
- Strong analytical decision-making skills.
Work Condition:
