MAIN PURPOSE:
Under the guidance of the HPCE Manager/Project Medical Referent, the Health Promoter Supervisor is responsible for implementing the Health Promotion and Community Engagement (HPCE) strategy, supervising HP teams, and ensuring that activities align with the project objectives, MSF values, and protocols.

KEY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

HPCE strategy, activities, and monitoring:
- Actively contribute to the design/adaptation of the HPCE strategy / workplan.

- Lead and follow up on the implementation of the HPCE strategy / workplan, according to the chronogram.

- Support participatory approaches and regular patient/community consultations before and during implementation of the HPCE strategy.

- Organizing health awareness sessions for MSF's medical and non-medical staff

- Support in the design of health education materials and participatory methods, applying the right process (pretesting, validation of content, translation).

- Contribute to rapid assessments and surveys.

- Support the implementation of community-based surveillance (data collection, active case finding, tracing, linkage to care.

- Responsible for the planning and organization of community meetings (in collaboration with HPCE Manager).

The responsibilities of this position includes the activities in Shabwa Maternaty and Child Hospital .
Program Design and Implementation: Develop and implement the Health Promotion and Community Engagement (HPCE) strategy, setting specific objectives and creating actionable plans to achieve program goals. Oversee the content and delivery of community health programs, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives and addressing both community and secondary healthcare levels.

Team Management and Capacity Building: Recruit, supervise, and support the HPCE team, including Community Health Educators (CHEs), ensuring adequate training and development to meet program needs. Identify and address human resource capacity gaps, providing coaching, training, and feedback to enhance team performance.

Support the design of health education materials. Collect and analyse community feedback, ensuring it informs program adjustments and improvements.

Coordination and Collaboration: Ensure regular collaboration with the MSF medical team and other relevant actors (NGOs, authorities) to integrate health promotion with medical activities and enhance campaign impact. Participate in planning, reporting, and coordination meetings, contributing to the overall strategic vision and project plans.

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting: Lead the monitoring and evaluation of HPCE activities, including patient satisfaction assessments and understanding of treatment plans, to ensure program effectiveness. Prepare and submit regular reports, including daily, weekly, and monthly updates, to track progress and inform decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS المؤهلات والمهارات المطلوبة
Education Essential
- Bachelor diploma in social sciences, social work, behavioural sciences, public health, community health, nursing.

Experience Essential
At least 2 years’ experience in:
- health promotion
- team management experience
- program implementation Experience qualitative methodology is highly desirable
الخبرة اللازمة: ما لا يقل عن سنتين من الخبرة في التثقيف الصحي، إدارة الفرق، وتنفيذ البرامج. يفضل وجود خبرة في الأساليب النوعية.
