Human Access organization announces the following vacancy:

Position: District Coordinator

Required number:

Location: Taiz Governorate in the districts of (Al-Qahirah, Al-Muzaffar, Sabr Al-Mawadim, Mashra'a Wa Hadnan, and Al-Misrakh)

Contract duration: 12 months

Application deadline: 12:00 pm on Monday, June 20, 2024

Job objective:

The District Coordinator will be based in the Taiz City Labor Office, reporting to the Project Officer/ Governorate Coordinator and will lead the implementation of project activities. He shall document daily attendance and submit updates of relevant activities at the end of the month at the district level. He shall be responsible for coordinating and ensuring the smooth implementation of project interventions. The Coordinator will represent the project in all relevant stakeholder meetings/ coordination in the district.

Responsibilities and tasks

1.    Develop the necessary plans and proposals for the distribution process and adhere to them in coordination with community committees, distribution supervisors, and local authorities.

2.    Supervise the work team, coordinate tasks among them, and correct deviations during implementation to ensure the effective implementation of activities according to the established plan.

3.    Follow up on the arrival of materials to the targeted points in the district and supervise the process of transporting materials (arrival - distribution).

4.    Conduct field visits and supervise the distribution points during the distribution process.

5.    Coordinate between the various parties concerned with the project, such as partners, local authority, and community committees at the district level.

6.    Ensure effective communication and information flow between all parties.

7.    Represent the district in external meetings and interactions.

8.    Communicate with the parties related to the distribution process in the district and coordinate with the local authority in the district during the project implementation stages.

9.    Attend periodic meetings with the work team, assist in developing the team’s capabilities, and follow up on it in solving problems raised by beneficiaries.

10. Follow up and evaluate the project’s performance against the established plan, collect data, and prepare periodic reports on performance.

11. Strive to solve problems and obstacles that hinder the progress of work in project activities and submit reports on this to the project coordinator on an ongoing basis.

12. Form, train, and supervise community committees in coordination with the local authority.

13. Regular follow-up of all project activities in close coordination with the monitoring and evaluation team.

14. Follow up on all financial and administrative procedures related to project activities in the district.

15. Ensure a safe working environment for all people involved in project implementation and maintain the highest standards of conduct/ ethics when working with project beneficiaries.

16. Provide regular feedback to the project team and monitor the implementation of the work plan to improve the quality of the project.

17. Provide suggestions for the district’s needs for sustainable humanitarian projects, especially in livelihoods.

18. Submit periodic reports (daily - weekly - monthly) in a timely manner to the direct manager (governorate coordinator) according to the forms designated for that purpose.

19. Any other tasks assigned to him by the project coordinator in the governorate or by the project management.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.

- At least two years of previous experience in the same field.

Skills and abilities:

  • Computer skills.
  • Archiving and records control skills.
  • Must have communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Administrative skills (such as planning, organizing, monitoring, and evaluation).
  • High ability to make decisions and assume responsibilities.
  • Capability to lead a work team.

Physical and mental requirements:

-   A healthy body with five senses.

-   Precision.

-   Good attention.

-   Quick intuition.

Other terms:

  • The applicant must be a member of the district in which he applied for employment.
  • Willingness to devote full time to work.
  • He must not have had any previous convictions related to exploitation, abuse, sexual harassment, fraud, corruption, or conflict of interest.

  • A copy of the ID card, both front and back.
  • A copy of the academic qualifications.
  • A copy of certificates of participation in training courses related to the job subject.
  • A copy of experience certificates in the field of the job subject of the advertisement.

Other requirements

Advanced level in English language.
