JOB PURPOSE
The Commis is responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving a variety of food items while maintaining strict adherence to established quality, hygiene, and presentation standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out operational tasks by following established processes. Participate in opening and closing duties, ensuring compliance with norms and internal procedures. Execute requests approved by the manager and adhere to cooking and plating SOPs.
- Follow mandatory instructions for environmental and personal safety. Comply with security, fire, and safety protocols according to regulations, promptly reporting incidents to superiors to ensure a safer workplace.
- Follow a variety of mandatory procedures to ensure work is conducted to the required quality standards, including checking the shelf life of products, labelling each item with its production and expiry date, and monitoring and communicating wasted product figures.
- Receive and prepare food orders according to recipes, adhering to HACCP standards and portion control guidelines. Perform cleaning tasks and maintain workstation sanitation by cleaning fridges, shelves, counters, and utensils at the end of the shift. - Conduct regular inventory control tasks, verifying quantities, quality, and availability against records. At the start of each shift, confirm the availability of required products at the service station based on established par levels and initiates orders for necessary items from the internal store.
- Remain well-informed about products and food items to effectively respond to inquiries and provide insights as needed.

LANGUAGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS Language Proficiency
- Fluency in English.
Food Safety Level - Level two.

EDUCATION
High school degree is a plus.

EXPERIENCE
Zero to one years of experience in F&B Operations, or a similar role
