Senior Site Construction Engineer

Project Management & Oversight:

  • Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to optimize workflow and project progress.
  • Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-control measures.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and ensure timely completion of milestones.
  • Conduct regular site meetings to coordinate activities, resolve issues, and communicate project updates to stakeholders.

Technical Expertise & Problem Solving:

  • Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team, resolving complex engineering issues and design discrepancies.
  • Review and interpret construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Ensure that materials and equipment are installed correctly and meet quality standards.
  • Implement and enforce quality control procedures to maintain high standards of workmanship.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and hazards on the construction site.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Enforce all safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all personnel on site.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety standards.
  • Implement and manage site-specific safety plans and procedures.
  • Investigate and report on any accidents or incidents, and implement corrective actions.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and change orders.
  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
  • Track and manage change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and submittals.
  • Ensure that all project closeout documents are completed and submitted in a timely manner.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in construction engineering, with a focus on [Specific type of construction - e.g., commercial, residential, infrastructure].Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role on construction projects.Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.Excellent computer skills, including MS Office Suite.
