Job Description

HUMAN ACCESS announces the following vacant position:

  • Job Title: Social Worker    
  • Required staff: two
  • Location: Marib Governorate / Marib City / Child Friendly Space Sweida Camp
  • Contract Duration: Seven months
  • Deadline:  12:00 pm on Monday, January 13, 2025
  • Job Specialization: Receiving cases of vulnerability from women and children, facilitating the work of friendly spaces, monitoring their cases of vulnerability and referring them to case management.

Background

Human Access for Partnership and Development (HUMAN ACCESS) is a non-governmental, independent, non-profit, humanitarian, developmental, charitable, voluntary, and community-based organization. It was established in March 1990 by an elite of volunteers and social personalities as a voluntary non-governmental organization that implements its programs, projects, and services according to periodic plans, a deliberate and renewed strategy, and a method of work based on the scientific methodology to be an effective link between donors and beneficiaries. HUMAN ACCESS is OCHA implementing partner in Marib. HUMAN ACCESS is characterized by a strong and renewed relationship with development partners at home and abroad, and it has joint efforts with official and popular authorities. It is also distinguished by a tangible presence in many charitable and humanitarian events and activities. During its period of operation, which extends for about three decades, the association obtained several memberships in various organizations and bodies.
The association is a member of the Department of Public Information for the Non-Governmental Organizations of the United Nations (DPI-NGO), a member of the Arab Union for Voluntary Work, and an active and accredited partner to various international organizations, the most important of which are the World Food Program (WFP), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA), and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
HUMAN ACCESS has also obtained membership in many local, Arab and international organizations and networks working in various fields of volunteer and humanitarian work. It in addition obtained the international quality certificate ISO 9001: 2008 as a culmination of its institutional work.

This project is for IDPs and entitled:’ Lifesaving Integrated response for the vulnerable people in Emergencies in Marib city district (LIFE Project)’

Responsibilities and tasks

  •  Monitoring cases of vulnerability among children and women, whether through the friendly space or through a direct visit to the center or referred by partners or sister components in the public protection project Marib 
  • Facilitate the work of the friendly space in cooperation with the psychologist in order to provide a qualitative response to children and their caregivers.
  • Interview cases, follow up the implementation of services and the extent of their benefit, and integration with case management.
  • Prepare the monthly and quarterly plan for awareness activities and life skills programs.
  • Implementation of monthly and quarterly plan activities.
  • Develop targeted awareness programs that address emerging issues of women and girls.
  • Holding awareness sessions for visitors to the spaces and introducing the services provided by the project and the financier.
  • Preparing and documenting success stories for children and women who have benefited from services.
  • Participate in the development of mechanisms and tools for the follow-up, evaluation and impact of awareness activities.
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly reports on various awareness programs.
  • Identify weaknesses and strengths and develop remediation proposals.
  • Commitment to the working hours specified by the Survey Department
  • Maintain all records, files and reports of the space electronically when requested.
  • Always respect the privacy principles of individual cases.
  • Participate in any project activity or meeting  and attend training courses and meetings related to activities in the same field  that may be organized by government agencies, partners, donors, international organizations or local communities when requested. 
  • Conduct the necessary surveys to identify vulnerabilities and keep records of those cases.
  • Submit statements of cash assistance for cases eligible to receive aid.
  • Accomplish any other tasks assigned to him by the survey coordinator within the framework of the survey.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and experience

1.    Bachelor of Sociology and/or in a related field.                         
2.    Experience of at least two years in the same field

 Skills and abilities

1.    Skill in the art of dealing with others
2.    Skill in using computers, data entry and archiving. 
3.      Ability to work under pressure at work.
4.     Ability to complete work and give timely feedback.
5.    Ability to write the required daily and monthly reports
