Terms of Reference (TOR): Case Management Worker

Location: AlHalimin, Lahj, Yemen

Duration: 12 months

Number of Staff: staff

 

1. Objective

The Case Management Worker will be responsible for providing direct services, including psychosocial support, psychological first aid (PFA), and referrals to other service providers, to survivors in the targeted areas. The assistants will work closely with the project team, partner organizations, and local authorities to ensure the effective implementation of case management services.

2. Duties and Responsibilities

The Case Management Worker will have the following key responsibilities: a. Provide direct case management services to survivors in the targeted areas.

b. Conduct comprehensive assessments of survivors' needs and develop individualized case management plans.
c. Deliver psychosocial support and psychological first aid to survivors, ensuring their emotional well-being and safety.
d. Coordinate and facilitate referrals to appropriate service providers for medical, legal, and other specialized support.
e. Collaborate with partner organizations and local authorities to ensure a coordinated and integrated response to cases.
f. Maintain accurate and confidential case files and records, ensuring adherence to ethical and data protection guidelines.
g. Conduct regular follow-up sessions with survivors to monitor their progress and provide ongoing support.
h. Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and meetings to review and improve case management practices.
i. Provide capacity-building and training sessions to project staff, partner organizations, and community members on case management principles and practices.
j. Contribute to project monitoring and evaluation activities, including data collection and reporting.

4. Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidates for the Case Management Worker positions should possess the following qualifications and experience: 

a. Bachelor/Diploma degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field.
b. Proven experience in providing case management services, including direct support to survivors and referrals to specialized services.
c. Sound knowledge of case management principles, protocols, and best practices.
d. Familiarity with psychosocial support and psychological first aid approaches for survivors.
e. Experience in working with diverse populations, particularly women and girls affected by conflict and displacement.
f. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work sensitively and empathetically with survivors.
g. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with partner organizations and local authorities.
h. Proficiency in written and spoken English. Knowledge of Arabic would be highly desirable.
i. Good computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
