Job Title: Project Manager – Oil & Gas Sector

Job Summary: Seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong engineering background and significant experience in the Oil & Gas sector, particularly in the development of tank terminals, process units, and plants. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical, leadership, and organizational skills to oversee and coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering teams, ensuring successful project execution from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Engineering and Design:
- Lead and contribute to the design and engineering efforts within the Oil & Gas industry, specifically for tank terminals, process units, and plant facilities.
- Ensure technical excellence by applying engineering principles, practices, and methodologies effectively.
- Monitor engineering phases, reviewing and approving drawings and documentation as necessary.
2. Project Leadership and Team Coordination:
- Lead and manage a team of specialized engineers across various disciplines, ensuring collaborative and efficient project execution.
- Inspire, motivate, and guide team members to achieve project goals, maintaining a high level of productivity and morale.
- Oversee coordination with the QA/QC Manager to ensure quality compliance throughout all engineering activities.
3. Communication and Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, facilitating effective collaboration at all organizational levels.
- Coordinate feedback, input, and findings from various disciplines, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Engage with sub-consultants, contractors, and external agencies to define technical specifications, acquire approvals, and secure statutory clearances.
4. Project Planning and Risk Management:
- Develop and implement risk management and mitigation strategies, proactively addressing engineering-related risks.
- Organize, prioritize, and oversee tasks to ensure project deadlines and objectives are consistently met.
- Conduct site surveys, review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), prepare inquiries, and participate in technical discussions with clients and contractors for scope finalization.
5. Project Monitoring and Compliance:
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary project activities, managing contractors and vendors to adhere to schedules and deadlines.
- Host project review meetings to evaluate progress, ensuring compliance with HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) and Quality standards.
- Track project costs, resource allocation, and prevent time overruns while maintaining a high standard of quality.
