Mission/ Core Purpose of the Job
Procurement Coordinator will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring goods and services necessary for company operations. This role requires strong negotiation skills, supplier management, and an understanding of market dynamics.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Manage procurement processes, from RFQs (Request for Quotations) to final negotiations.
- Analyze market trends to identify potential cost savings and efficiencies.
- Issue purchase orders, track delivery schedules, and ensure timely receipt of goods and services.
- Negotiate contract, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure purchasing requirements are met.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier agreements.
- Ensure that all procurement activities comply with internal company policies and regulations.
Job Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor degree in Business, Procurement, or related field.
- Proven Experience in Procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the business environment, preferably in the Telecommunications industry.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Procurement or Supply Chain.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of relevant law, regulations, and standards that apply to procurement.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and ethical sourcing requirements.
- Knowledge and experience of relevant software applications - spreadsheets, word processing, and Oracle.
Skills / Competencies:
- Effective verbal and listening communications skills in both English and Arabic
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain a good working relationship with all co-workers and the Suppliers.
- Strong analytical decision-making skills.
