Terms of Reference (TOR): Child Care Assistant
Location: Taiz, Yemen
Duration: 11 months
Main Responsibilities:
Planning and Implementation:
- Collaborate with the Safe Space supervisor to update daily activity reports and track children's participation.
- Attend center meetings as requested and contribute to discussions.
- Maintain daily registration records for children attending the center.
- Provide information on the daily registration of women accompanying their children.
- Creatively prepare engaging activities suitable for both children and women.
- Encourage all children to select games freely, ensuring inclusion of children with disabilities and fostering group collaboration.
- Identify and address the needs of children with disabilities.
- Help resolve children's issues by involving parents and the community.
- Prepare and submit daily and weekly reports to the training center supervisor.
- Maintain ongoing communication with children and their parents.
- Organize the entry and exit processes for children at the center.
Program Quality:
- Compile data for regular project reports and assist in drafting progress reports.
- Ensure timely submission of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on child care activities.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Foster positive relationships with partners and staff from other sectors.
- Adhere to established codes of conduct.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by the training center supervisor or project management.
Education/Training Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma Degree in sociology, psychology, or nursery education, or equivalent experience.
- Artistic skills in drawing, design, or graphics, gained through experience or study.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in child care or a similar field.
- Previous experience with non-governmental organizations is a plus.
- Ability to engage with diverse community members.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both in teams and independently.
- Experience working with children.
- Capability to perform well under stress and pressure.
- Quick response skills for gathering information and visuals.
