- Job Title: Field monitor (4).
- Location: Taiz (Al Khawkhah, Dhubab, Al Wazi'iyah, Mawza).
- Contract Type: Full Time.
- Contract Duration: 5 Month.
- Start Date: As soon as possible.
Job Description:
The field monitor is responsible for the day-to-day management and smooth running of the Blanket / Targeted Supplementary Feeding Program in line with the MoPHP national CMAM protocol, SOUL protocols and the project proposal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate field work for a project with DHO, local representative’s/community members, and different stakeholders in order to obtain any work permits in the intervention area according to needs.
- Ensure the proper selection of HWs/ CHVs and identify FDPs according to MOPHP guidelines if BSFP will be implemented.
- Ensure project activities implementation in the most efficient and more innovative way.
- Plan for nutrition distribution and awareness sessions.
- Supervising the progress of training and continuous follow-up with the trainer to ensure that the training is done well and smoothly and at a high level of quality.
- Conduct supervisory visits to targeted locations along with the district nutrition coordinator.
- Maintain the safety of forms documents, questionnaires, ensuring regular submission to the line manager and related units including M&E officer and project management.
- Conduct regular performance evaluation of the CHVs/HWs and provide them with on-job training and regular mentorship when needed.
- Submit performance evaluation inputs to M&E team on regular basis.
- Prepare reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, final) summarizing all activities carried out in the field, achievements, difficulties, etc.
- Participate in data collecting, related surveys or assessments as required.
- Participate in defining the key messages for awareness raising for developing the IEC materials.
- Submit monthly and quarterly plans for the related activities.
- Facilitate the field work and maintain problems’ solving that are facing the project implementation including technical, coordination, administrative and logistics challenges and provide regular updates to the senior officer periodically.
- Review the monthly reports submitted by HWs/CHNVs and ensure that the data integrity is fulfilled before delivery to the senior project officer.
- Show commitment to use the field monitoring tool/s adopted in the project.
- Properly archive the documents and correspondences of the project for easy reference
- including coordination and communications with local authorities and other administrative documents, etc.
- Ensure acquire all permits required by all related authorities to ensure the implementation of the project activities.
- Monitor and supervise the project activities implementation at the targeted district as well as administering the daily operations.
- Organize and participate in external meetings with community leaders and other government offices as needed.
- Perform other duties or tasks determined by project management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Nutrition, or any related field.
- Minimum 2 Years relevant experience in NUT projects.
- Preferred to be from the targeted areas.
- Very good organizational and teamwork oriented.
- Good written and spoken English skills.
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with attention to details.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with people from different backgrounds.
- Good time management and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
