About Afaq Shababia Foundation (ASF)

ASF is a registered national NGO with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor No 271. Our mission is to Contribute to youth and community development by implementing quality programs and building effective partnerships in accordance with best institutional practices. ASF started its work in Yemen since 2013 and has been implementing projects in 4 sectors namely skills-building, peace-building with good governance, FSL, and Education with Child Protection.

Purpose of the Job

The purpose of the  M&E is to establish a robust monitoring and evaluation framework that supports effective project implementation, data-driven decision-making, accountability to stakeholders, continuous learning, and strengthening the organization's overall M&E capacity.

Duties and Responsibilities

ASF is looking for an efficient and qualified person to fill the position to carry out the following Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Develop M&E tools, records and templates to capture and report project activities according to the log frame, indicators, outcomes, results and objectives.
  • Ensure timely reporting to track performance indicators for projects.
  • Support M&E team meetings and collect/follow up positive and timely feedback.
  • Implement quality standards and conduct data collection, analysis, review and reporting on a periodic basis.
  • Promote accountability to beneficiaries through accountability assessments and support field staff to develop information-sharing materials.
  • Prepare complaints and feedback mechanism to ensure that all stakeholders have equal opportunities to provide feedback on projects.
  • Develop data collection tools at the output and results level according to the projects’ monitoring and evaluation plans, and share them with employees And partners.
  • Conduct regular visits to projects to support monitoring the implementation of activities and submitting the necessary reports.
  • Ensure that all project staff understand and adhere to the project logical framework, indicators and objectives.
  • Design and implement basic studies and evaluations in coordination with project management.
  • Monitor lessons learned and case studies related to good practice from reviews and evaluations and share them with organization staff.

Required Profile and Experience

1.    Education:

  • Relevant university degree or higher education.

.2.    Professional Experience:

  • Essential working experience in a related position before. 
  • Strong IT skills and literacy in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Practical experience of not less than two years.
  • Proficiency in English writing, pronunciation and conversation.
  • Good planning and organization skills.
  • High communication skills.
  • Good skills in drafting reports.
  • Willingness to work under pressure.
  • Preparing for travel and field visits to work sites.
