JOB TITLE: Field Monitor Officer (2)
DEPARTMENT: Program 
Report to: Project Officer / Program Manager
LOCATION: Rayma (1) and Hajjah  (1) Governorate
Closing Date: 24/07/2024
    
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the project officer/ Program Manager in the implementation of the project activities.
  • Follow routine data collection and reporting; prepare weekly reports.
  • Conduct technical field visit to targeted health facilities
  • Provide Technical support and on job training to staff and health worker when needed.
  • In collaboration with the Project officer / Program Manager prepares quantitative and qualitative reports of all health and nutrition activities according to donor and MoPHP reporting guidelines.
  • Support to general logistics related to the project activities.
  • Follow up on procurement of supplies and stationary for the project activities as procurement policy.
  • Assist Program Manager in facilitation of regular trainings for team members to strengthen their skills in areas of health and nutrition service provision.
  • Ensures that staff practices standard procedures and protocols.
  • Follow up various supplies, and consumption and raise the need 
  • Provide support to Project officer in the integration of health and nutrition activities such as SBCC, IYCF with other sectors such as WASH, FSAC at targeted Health facilities.
  • Work together with the Project officer on developing and tracking work plans and action plans for teams.
  • Work together with Monitoring and Evaluation team to ensure progress towards established indicators.
  • Attend various coordination meeting with the authorities, GHO, Cluster and other relevant inter-agency coordination meetings
  • Participates at the negotiations with the local communities, government authorities and religious/ community leaders at field level
  • Attend internal monthly project review meeting with all targeted health facilities ensuring the involvement of local authorities and communities
  • Ensure monthly updates (text, pictures, success stories, feedback from the field) are provided to the Program Manager for updating the website
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by the nutrition Program Manager and report to Project officer/ Program Manager

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • A degree in health science or any related field.
  • At least 2 years’ management/coordination of health and nutrition projects in Yemen with National or International NGO
  • Previous experience in implementation, monitoring and supervising health and nutrition programs, particularly in emergency context.
  • Strong knowledge of primary and community health care programs
  • Experience of capacity building and training of the local staff
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Attention to details, accuracy and timeliness in executing tasks assigned
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Confident and proficient in the use of MS Office
  • Experience of establishing strong working relationships with colleagues from different functions and cultures.
  • Dynamic, open-minded a creative
  • Committed and accountable to the organization and the community/beneficiaries
