To deliver the EPG Curriculum through appropriate
pedagogy, teaching and behaviour management
strategies within an approved observation, recording
and reporting framework to ensure all children can
access learning at their individual level and progress
according to or beyond the expected rate according to
UK standards.

EPG Curriculum
Show an understanding of appropriate pedagogy
and approach to Early Years teaching and
learning and ensure that this is evident in daily
classroom practice.
Know and understand the EPG curriculum
according to the subject taught.
Plan and prepare lessons on the approved format
in order to deliver the EPG Curriculum.
Identify opportunities for observations, record
keeping and differentiation in Lesson Plans.
Identify clear teaching objectives and learning
outcomes, with appropriate challenge and
expectations.
Ensure all lessons have breadth and balance and
follow the approved flow, including Carpet
Times and Centers.
Use only approved resources to support the
curriculum unless with prior approval from the
Learning Leader.
Reflect on teaching and learning and record
through checklists, observations, assessments,
digital record keeping and on the Lesson Plan.
Skills
Experience, qualifications and skills
Educational background and/or experience in
teaching is preferable.
A love of children and a passion for teaching.
Creativity, flexibility and enthusiasm.
Understanding appropriate Early Years pedagogy
and practices.
Fluency in the English language.
Computer skills in using Microsoft Office, and
other programs that serve pre-school purposes.
