Project Logistic Officer
- Location: Aden/Lahj Governorates (with regular travel to other sites).
- Period: 9 months, renewable subject to performance.
- Duty Station: Makers Meeting Place Organization (LMMPO), Aden/Lahj –Yemen.
- Terms: Full Time Position (8 Eight hours per working day), with field visits to the work sites.
- Classification: Support Management.
- Expected start Date: 01-07-2025.
- Job grade: - fourth degree.

LMMPO is keen to have a competent candidate to fill the position of Project Logistic Officer
Purpose/Scope of the task
Managing the project's main and subsidiary tasks, such as logistics, in addition to fully supervising the work team to cover all needs according to the project's logistics activity plan.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
1. Manage the tendering process for sub-projects, ensuring transparency and compliance with donor guidelines.
2. Oversee procurement activities, including sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of goods and services required for the project.
3. Ensure timely and efficient delivery of supplies by coordinating with project suppliers.
4. Maintain an organized supply chain and track inventory to ensure adequate stock levels for project needs.
5. Conduct regular inventory audits to prevent shortages or overstocking.
6. Arrange and coordinate transportation for personnel, equipment, and materials to project sites.
7. Oversee site preparation and logistics for project activities, including water infrastructure.
8. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders, including local authorities, suppliers, and community members, to ensure smooth implementation.
9. Ensure compliance with donor guidelines, organizational policies, and local regulations, maintaining accurate records for audit purposes.
10. Identify and mitigate logistical risks that may impact project implementation.
11. Prepare regular reports on logistical activities, procurement, inventory, and delivery status, and provide updates to project management and stakeholders.
12. Work closely with the Support Admin at LMMPO and other project team members.
13. Utilize strong communication skills to ensure effective collaboration and problem-solving.
14. Adapt logistical plans based on local conditions and constraints, leveraging a deep understanding of the Tuban and Al-Mosaymir districts of Lahj Governorate.
15. Monitor and evaluate the performance of project suppliers, addressing any issues or delays in the supply chain promptly.
16. Provide logistical support for project events, meetings, and training sessions.
17. Maintain proper documentation and systematically archive vouchers, bills, receipts, contracts, and all supporting documents for transparency and auditing purposes.
18. Any other tasks related to the project or assigned by the support admin or project manager.
Qualifications and Skills
Study and Training:
- university degree in accounting or related field.
- Intensive training courses in the same field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in support and procurement with local or international organizations.
Languages:
- Fluent in Arabic and English (Speaking and Writing).
Skills:
- Team management and knowledge transfer.
