About SDF:
The Sustainable Development Foundation (SDF) is a non-governmental, voluntary, independent organization established in March 2015, officially registered at the Ministry of Social Affairs as per license (99). SDF has been present in Yemen since 2015, it has experience implementing emergency child protection and education responses, including women and youth empowerment. SDF has experience in handling large grants from international donors, such as UNDP, UNHCR, WFP, OCHA, WHO, SCI and ZOA. SDF has excellent national-level relations and has experience in coordinating with both national and international NGOs. It has offices, staff and community-based committees in Hajjah, Sana'a, Marib, Ibb, Hudidah, Dhamar, Almahweet, Al-Bayda’a, and Hadramout as well as solid experiences engaging with local communities from whom it gained acceptance and with whom it has collaborated in the past. In addition to that, SDF creates livelihood opportunities and community-based protection.

Job Purpose:
The Field Assistant – Food Security will play a crucial role in the successful implementation of the food security component of the project. S/he will be responsible for conducting field-level activities, ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of cash assistance to beneficiaries, and supporting the project team in achieving its objectives in Mustaba Districts of Hajjah Gov.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Community Engagement:
- Actively participate in community mobilization activities, including conducting community meetings, forming and training Community Committees, and facilitating their involvement in project activities.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with community members, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Beneficiary Registration and Verification:
- Assist in the registration and verification of potential beneficiaries according to the project's eligibility criteria and FSAC selection guidelines.
- Conduct thorough background checks and ensure the accuracy and completeness of beneficiary data.
Cash Distribution Management:
- Participate in the planning and implementation of cash distribution activities, including logistics, security, and beneficiary attendance.
- Ensure the timely and accurate distribution of cash assistance to eligible beneficiaries.
- Maintain proper records of all cash distribution activities, including beneficiary attendance sheets, disbursement records, and any other relevant documentation.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Conduct regular monitoring visits to beneficiary households to assess the impact of cash assistance and identify any challenges or concerns.
- Collect data on project activities and beneficiary feedback using appropriate tools and methodologies.
- Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports on project progress, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
Coordination and Collaboration:
- Coordinate with other project staff, local authorities, community leaders, and other stakeholders, including partners involved in WASH, Health, and Nutrition sectors.
- Participate in relevant coordination meetings and forums.
Data Management:
- Ensure the accurate and timely entry of beneficiary data into relevant databases.
- Maintain confidentiality of all beneficiary information.
Other Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of practical experience in community development, humanitarian assistance, or a related field.
- Experience in cash-based interventions, preferably in food security programs Computer skills in MS Office programs.
- Good in MS Office software is essential (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- High diplomacy, cultural sensitivity and security awareness
- Strong communication skills
- Strong sense of neutrality
- Attention to activity tracking detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work
- independently and cooperatively with team members is required.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well in a multidisciplinary is essential.
- Good report writing, data analytical skills and interpretation.
