Summary
The Infrastructure Expert is responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure projects. This role involves providing technical expertise to ensure infrastructure systems meet operational, safety, and environmental standards. The expert collaborates with stakeholders to deliver efficient, sustainable, and innovative infrastructure solutions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop infrastructure project plans, designs, and specifications based on requirements and feasibility studies.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and best practices in design and execution.
- Perform site assessments and surveys to evaluate project needs and constraints.
- Oversee the construction, installation, and maintenance of infrastructure systems, including roads, water supply, power, and communication networks.
- Monitor project progress to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
- Provide technical advice on infrastructure development, risk management, and sustainability.
- Assess and recommend materials, technologies, and methodologies to improve efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential risks or areas for improvement.
- Prepare detailed project documentation, including reports, budgets, and technical drawings.
- Present project updates and findings to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Train team members and stakeholders on infrastructure management and maintenance practices.
- Promote knowledge sharing and collaboration to strengthen institutional capacities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor is degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. A master’s degree is an advantage.
- Experience: Minimum [X] years of experience in infrastructure design, construction, or management.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and project management tools.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and safety regulations.
- Familiarity with environmental sustainability and green infrastructure practices.
Skills:
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong project management and leadership abilities.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Others:
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is an asset.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
