RDP

Relief and Development Peer Foundation (RDP) is Non-governmental Organization aims to mitigate the suffering of communities affected by the conflict and disasters, enhance more equitable socio economic development and Increase social responsibility to contribute effectively and positively on the development process. RDP advocates for the rights of affected populations and work in many field areas, food security, nutrition and health and water, sanitation and hygiene, good governance and peace.
RDP has a policy of zero tolerance towards SEA. AII RDP employees and related personnel are expected to uphold the highest standards of personal and professional conduct at all times, and to provide assistance and services in a manner that respects and fosters the rights of beneficiaries and other vulnerable members of the local communities.

Duties and responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Plan and manage project activities both financially and technically at the governorate level.
  • Ensure operational planning for the overall implementation of new projects.
  • Ensure that reporting documentation is submitted to management in a timely manner.
  • Track and control all support costs and spending to ensure efficiency.
  • Coordinate closely with the branches manager to provide technical and operational support for the implementation of project interventions. This role involves offering additional assistance to the programs.
  • Supervise the timely implementation of the project portfolio in the IRG controlled areas.
  • Organize and oversee regular project review meetings in collaboration with the program teams.
  • Organize and schedule meetings and appointments, and recommend solutions for improving organizational efficiency.
  • Ensure regular contact, frequent support, and visits to sub offices and areas of operation.
  • Contribute to the development of new program initiatives and help seek funding for projects.
  • Ensure that all programs are complying with the NGO’s policies and procedures.
  • collaborate with other departments, including finance and logistics, to ensure that programs effectively address the needs of both the communities and the organization.

Operations Management

  • Ensure that all policies and procedures related to NGO’s operations are in place and compliance including (HR, Finance, Procurement, Communication, safeguarding, PSEA, Security, Inventory) polices and others. 
  • Comply with NGO policies and procedures regarding code of conduct, child protection, PSEA, Safeguarding, equal opportunities, safety and security, and other relevant policies.
  • Follow up for ensuring timely and accurate financial forecasting and reporting. 
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all local, and donor regulations related to humanitarian operations, including human rights and protection standards.
  • Assist with safety and acceptance improvements, conduct training, and follow up on incidents and reporting.

Staff Management

  • Manage interpersonal conflicts among staff at the office level.
  • Identify priority tasks and delegate secretarial and administrative work to field staff members.
  • Manage field staff according to priorities and provide clear guidance for the team to follow.
  • Assign and monitor administrative, and secretarial responsibilities among office staff.

Administrative Oversight

  • Maintain up-to-date filing systems, transfer important records and files, ensure their protection and security, and uphold absolute confidentiality.
  • Report weekly and monthly on the achievements of field office employees.

Representation and Communication

  • Represent NGO with national authorities, negotiating and secure permissions and authorizations, line ministries and address challenges related registration or processing NGO transactions with relevant parties. 
  • Maintain regular communication and liaison with local authority stakeholders to uphold NGO's positive relationships, acceptance, and reputation. 
  • Represent the organization to donors and external stakeholders as opportunities arise.
  • Maintain good relations and close coordination with local authorities, UN agencies, international and national NGOs.
  • Ensure NGO’s attendance at sub-cluster meetings.

Security

  • Monitor the security situation in the south and provide regular updates to the NGO’s senior management and staff.
  • Respond to security incidents and emergencies as needed, ensuring that staff members are safe and that the organization's assets and goods are protected.
  • Ensure that all security incidents are reported and investigated, and that corrective actions are taken as needed.

Fundraising 

  • Plan strategically, develop and implement fundraising strategies aligned with the organization’s goals and local needs.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders to secure funding and support.
  • Participate in the design of grant proposals and funding applications, ensuring they meet donor requirements and highlight the impact of the NGO’s work.
  • Oversee the budgeting process for funded projects, ensuring financial accountability and compliance with donor regulations.
  • Track fundraising progress and outcomes, providing regular reports to senior management and stakeholders on funding status and project impacts. 
  • Train and support staff in fundraising techniques and donor engagement to enhance the organization's fundraising capacity.
  • Represent the NGO at public events, conferences, and community meetings to promote the organization and its mission and open chances for fundraising opportunities. 
  • Identify potential funding opportunities and trends in humanitarian and development sectors to inform fundraising strategies and initiatives.

Requirements, Qualifications and Experience:

  • A bachelor degree in a relevant field such as business administration, international relations, or social sciences. A master's degree is often preferred.
  • Proven experience, typically 5-7 years, in managing and leading staff particularly field offices management.  
  • Familiarity with various fundraising methods, grant writing, and program management within NGOs and similar environments.  
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and negation skills for effective stakeholders and donor engagement.
  • Experience in budget management and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with donor regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Understanding of local contexts and cultural dynamics and sensitivity, especially when working in diverse or challenging environments
  • Proven ability to network and represent the organization at public events and meetings.
  • Experience in leading and developing teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work under pressure in dynamic settings.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is often required both in writing and speaking. 
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to address challenges that may arise within teams or with stakeholders.
