Position Summary:
The Foundation is implementing an institutional development and community empowerment project in Ma'rib governorate. The position will be responsible for carrying out field coordination work for the project's activities within the districts of the targeted governorate. The field coordinator will follow-up on and support the process of obtaining permits, implementing field activities, and submitting activity reports and documents in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
1. Field coordination to facilitate the implementation of activities in Ma'rib Governorate.
2. Provide a technical concept and action plan for the field trip in detail.
3. Submit a weekly update on the implementation status and keep the project team informed of the progress of the activity.
4. Supervising and following up on the progress of activities during (preparation, implementation, and closure).
5. Follow up on permits to implement activities, whether at the governorate or district level.
6. Work on direct coordination with the directors of the targeted districts, as well as follow up on the selection of local mediators and conduct a field evaluation.
7. Representing the institution with the local authority and the local community in the targeted Governorate.
8. Working on all logistical coordination for training and workshops, which include, but are not limited to: -
- Collecting quotations for training and trainees' requirements.
- Preparing all training requirements.
- Attending all training sessions assigned to him/her.
- Ensure that the training session is running effectively for the benefit of the trainees.
- Dealing with all trainees fairly and equally.
- Follow up the attendance of trainees.
- Collecting contact information for documentation and media coverage service providers that are documenting activities.
- Receiving media materials and following up with service providers for media documentation to upload all media materials after each activity.
- Follow up on the preparation of all printed materials related to project activities.
9. Ensure to deal with complete transparency, fairness and impartiality when requesting proposals for service providers such as consultants, trainers, logistical services, etc.
10. Preparing and holding meetings (online via the Zoom platform - in-person) for members of the youth team as well as members of the Community Reconciliation Committee on an ongoing basis, in addition to creating groups on the WhatsApp platform to manage discussions related to the project.
11. Follow up on the implementation of field activities, whether implemented by consultants, central or local authorities, and provide the necessary facilities to ensure the implementation of activities
according to the agreed time frame.
12. Work on field coordination and facilitate the work of young men/women during their field trip to identify the needs of the community and ensure the smooth flow of work between the young
men/women and the local authority.
13. Field coordination with the directors of the targeted districts and communication with the concerned parties, including members of the local authorities, to facilitate the implementation of the project
activities in Ma'rib Governorate and to facilitate the work of the of the Community Reconciliation Committee members during the field trip to determine the needs of the community.
14. Collecting and archiving data and reports by members of the Youth Network as well as the Community Reconciliation Committee during field trip to determine the needs of the community and archive all materials via a Drive link and share it with the project team, and prepare for the stage of preparing the work of the initiatives.
15. Work to transcribe and analyze the data collected from the field and come up with priority community issues for each of the targeted districts and prepare for the stage of preparing the work of the initiatives in cooperation with the mediation team and the community reconciliation committee.
16. Coordination and arrangement of the round table between local authorities, members of the community reconciliation committee, and the youth mediators' team.
17. Continuous communication with the team of young mediators, members of community
reconciliation committees, and members of local authorities to ensure attendance, whether for training, community dialogues, periodic meetings, or round tables (quarterly workshops).
18. Assist in evaluations of the effectiveness of program activities and measure learning outcomes for participants. This may include using assessment tools, conducting assessments, collecting feedback from participants, entering data into KOBO, and helping to make improvements based on the results.
19. Implement any requirements related to the project or requested by the project management.
Reports/documents required:
- Weekly update.
- Completion reports after each stage of training.
- Monthly achievement reports.
- Final report for the assignment.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
- Previous practical experience of not less than 2 years in development projects and good governance.
- Willingness and ability to undertake frequent travel within the targeted governorates.
- Has demonstrable experience and relationships with relevant government authorities.
- Accessibility to targeted areas.
- The ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
- Ability to respond on short notice, plan and implement several activities simultaneously.
- Ability to work under pressure, as part of a team or independently, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Able to communicate clearly and sensitively with internal and external stakeholders as a representative of The Foundation.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills required.
- Integrity: He/She works trustworthy with integrity and has a clear commitment to the foundation’s core values and humanitarian principles.
- Excellent level of computer proficiency.
