Key Responsibilities

  • To contribute to the development, dissemination, and implement the organization’s strategic plan
  • To supervise and coordinate the development of project proposals and budgets, ensuring strong coordination between technical, operational and support teams, including field teams.
  • To oversee and support the capacity building of all concerned employees in the fields of programme cycle management, programme implementation, based on an assessment of the critical programme improvement needs of the country of operation\To work in close collaboration with the other departments, and Senior Management
  • To ensure the quality of project implementation and the reporting requirement and deadlines.
  • To ensure that multisectoral assessments and programme assessments are responding to needs
  • To follow up on the fundraising strategy in accordance with the program strategy.
  • Achieve goals set in the balanced score card of the department.
  • Facilitate knowledge management and sharing.
  • Oversees and manages the projects’ teams on day-to-day basis; i.e. support and follow-up on the implementation of projects’ activities in accordance with the approved proposals and activities timelines.
  • Supervise, monitor and evaluate the implementation of projects, ensuring achievement of the pre-set indicators.
  • Review and monitor field operations and implementation of activities and achievements of results as detailed in the project budget, activities.

  • Conduct field visits as necessary to monitor program implementation.
  • Together with the field staff, manage the feedback mechanism system and ensure its purpose. 
  • Ensure all donors’ expectations are met, including the preparation of all progress reports by the relevant project staff; 
  • Review monitoring and evaluation reports of the projects, and manage corrective actions respectively.
  • Submit and discuss monthly progress reports on the PMD performance to the donors; based on pre-set indicators, when necessary. 
  • Follow-up the financial progress of the implementing projects and solve relevant financial obstacles may arise in consultation with the Finance department.  
  • Collaborate with the HR department in planning, organizing, and managing duties related to project team recruitment and capacity building.
  • Provide the projects’ teams with methodological guidance and his/her know-how and experience.

  • Play a part in the proposal development process by working closely with the BDU; providing ideas, suggestions, and recommendations for writing project proposals.
  • Attending the meeting of the clusters and working on coordinating the preparation and processing of project studies that the organization may undertake.
  • Responsible for negotiating with donors regarding budgets for projects to be implemented by the organization
  • Ensure the content of all media materials related to the projects are as per the standards set-forth by the organization.

Qualifications and Experiences

  • Relevant university degree (master’s or post-diploma desirable), in international relations and / or development. political science or similar field
  • 7 years' experience in project management, planning and budgeting.
  • Proven management skills and competence in people management.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and time management skills
  • Sufficient leadership skills
  • Self-motivated, hardworking and self-starter
  • Adequate communication skills 
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with peers and management
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and meet short deadlines
  • Willing to work long hours as needed to meet deadlines and during peak periods
  • Seek additional responsibilities as learning progression occurs
  • Commitment to continuous development in professional/functional/technical skills
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in policies, procedures, responsibilities and workloads

  • Ability to move between governorates and reside in any governorate according to work needs
  • Good communication and profeciency of Arabic and English, conversation and writing.
