Storekeeper

Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized storekeeper to join our catering team. The Storekeeper will be responsible for managing inventory, tracking daily store issues, and monitoring costs to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. This role is crucial in maintaining the smooth operation of our catering services by ensuring that all supplies are accurately accounted for and readily available.


Key Responsibilities


Inventory Management:

           •         Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods and supplies.

           •         Ensure all items are stored properly and securely in designated areas.

           •         Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software.

Daily Store Issues Tracking:

           •         Track and document daily store issues, including any discrepancies, shortages, or damages.

           •         Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to fulfill daily supply requests.

           •         Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as necessary to prevent shortages.

           •         Cost Monitoring and Control:

           •         Track and report on daily costs associated with inventory and supplies.

           •         Work with the finance department to analyze cost trends and identify areas for cost savings.

           •         Implement and monitor procedures to minimize waste and reduce costs.

           •         Documentation and Reporting:

           •         Maintain detailed and accurate records of all inventory transactions.

           •         Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory levels, store issues, and costs to management.

           •         Ensure all documentation complies with company policies and procedures.

           •         Compliance and Safety:

           •         Adhere to all health and safety regulations regarding the storage and handling of food and supplies.

           •         Ensure the storeroom is kept clean, organized, and free of hazards.

           •         Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.

Skills

Qualifications and Skills


           •         High school diploma or equivalent required.

           •         Previous experience in inventory management, preferably in the catering or hospitality industry.

           •         Strong organizational and time-management skills.

           •         Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

           •         Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

           •         Good communication and interpersonal skills.

           •         Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

           

Physical Requirements:

           •         Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 20 kg).

           •         Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
