Our mission is to Contribute to youth and community development by implementing quality programs and building effective partnerships in accordance with best institutional practices. ASF started its work in Yemen since 2013 and has been implementing projects in 4 sectors namely skills-building, peace-building with good governance, FSL, and Education with Child Protection.
Purpose of the Job
The main purpose of the Accountant is to provide direct support to the finance officer is to oversee the organization's financial management, ensure accurate reporting, effective planning, and compliance to support the organization's financial health and sustainability.
Duties and Responsibilities
ASF is looking for an efficient and qualified person to fill the position to carry out the following Tasks and Responsibilities:
1-Preparing payments related to the management of the institution and its projects and ensuring the existence of all complex documents related to the payment, and their compliance with the standards of the institution and donors.
.2 Preparing the monthly salary report and its payment, in addition to preparing the income tax deduction payment.
.3 Auditing the petty cash fund movements, and preparing the payment related to it.
.4 Proving all restrictions related to the projects as well as those related to the institution.
.5 Entering disbursement vouchers into the system and archiving them.
.6 Proving all operations related to banks.
.7 Supervising projects and preparing and reviewing financial reports.
.8 Proving all operations at the end of the year.
.9 Reviewing accounts and following up on debtors.
.10 General supervision of accounts and control over the accounts and operations manual.
.11 Preparing and reviewing monthly expenses.
.12 Entering monthly expenses into the accounting system.
.13 Writing bank checks.
.14 Following up on project disbursements.
.15 Preparing budgets and periodic and monthly financial reports according to the system in place.
.16 Adding the accounting guide for funds, banks and programs.
.17 Archiving and documenting the files of the administration while keeping the papers of this administration and not receiving or delivering them except with the approval and knowledge of the institution's management
Required Profile and Experience
1. Education:
- University degree in Business Administration or related field
.2. Professional Experience:
- At least two years of experience
- Experience working with organizations and Foundations
- Computer skills and Microsoft 365 applications
- Excellent English language
