Job Description
Project Summary
In partnership with VHI, Our Foundation is implementing a project to provide specialized psychological services to school children in 10 schools across Aden and Lahj, offering Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), case management, and psychosocial first aid through a newly established Children's Psychological Unit. The project includes group sessions for children, referrals for identified cases, and field visits to schools and IDP shelters to support affected children. Additionally, parents will receive training on child psychology and positive parenting, while some parents of children with mental disorders will be referred for treatment. To strengthen community engagement, awareness campaigns will reach 10,000 people to reduce stigma around mental health. Our Foundation is also targeting Yemeni NGO staff in MHPSS awareness and referrals, while FCDF and Loyac staff receive technical training on case management and trauma handling. Furthermore, local government staff will participate in MHPSS workshops, and ministry officials will contribute to developing national MHPSS strategies and policies to enhance mental health services in Yemen.
Our Foundation aims to enhance the technical capacities of its workforce in collaboration with Loyac by providing specialized training in various areas of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS). The training aims to empower staff to handle complex and challenging cases, improve monitoring and follow-up techniques, thereby contributing to the delivery of high-quality professional services to beneficiaries.
