Project Summary

The School Kitchens Project aims to provide healthy and nutritious meals to school students, targeting 7,000 male and female students in the capital city of Sana’a and Al-Hodeidah Governorate. The project is funded by the World Food Program (WFP) and in partnership with a leading local company.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Setting up Monitoring and Evaluation Systems:

  • Design data collection tools and key performance indicators.
  • Develop reporting matrices and monitoring plans to ensure accurate oversight of all project activities.

2. Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Conduct regular field visits to assess performance and implementation quality.
  • Collect and analyze data from field teams to evaluate progress.

3. Preparing Periodic Reports:

  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on progress and challenges.
  • Provide recommendations to management based on evaluation results.

4. Ensuring Compliance with Standards:

  • Monitor adherence to quality and food safety standards.
  • Ensure activities are implemented as per project timelines and budgets.

5. Managing Complaints and Feedback:

  • Supervise the implementation of the complaints and feedback mechanism and ensure responsiveness to beneficiaries' needs.
  • Record lessons learned and suggest future improvements.

6. Training and Supporting Teams:

  • Train field teams on the importance of monitoring and evaluation.
  • Support project staff to ensure data accuracy and alignment with donor requirements.

7. Ensuring Quality:

  • Review project data and accurately input it into databases.
  • Oversee the quality of reports submitted to donors and partners.

8. Additional Tasks:

  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the Project Manager.

 

Job Requirements

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Work Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation or project management, preferably in humanitarian or developmental contexts.
  • Experience using data collection and analysis tools (e.g., KoboCollect, SPSS).
  • Familiarity with donor requirements.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office programs (e.g., Excel, Word).
  • Experience in designing and managing databases.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
