Job Title: Community-based outreach volunteer (Supervisor)
Reports to: Project Assistant
Location: Aden based
Position Type: Full Time (8 hours).
Duration: 12 months
Purpose:
Leading and coordinating the implementation of community-level protection activities in targeted areas, in particular case management (CM), Supervise the caseworker volunteers, develop trend analysis, information dissemination and referrals according to Donor standards in Protection work.
Responsibilities:
- In coordination with the project manager, contribute to the development of activities in relation to Case Management and other protection-related activities.
- Supervise the process of identification and assessing of cases by the caseworkers (CW), and providing the required support.
- Ensure referral pathways work smoothly and monitoring of required follow-up actions.
- Leading the regular meetings with social worker case management volunteers to follow up update case files and data updating and tracking and provide necessary data as requested.
- Prepare, update and sharing the weekly, monthly and quarterly report on the tracking system regarding follow-up the students at schools.
- Identification of General Protection Matters/ concerns.
- Ensure timely and quality implementation of the case management work-plan in coordination with project manager and another project team members.
- Support mapping of services and development of effective referral pathways
- Provide written feedback about protection incidents for Case Management.
- Participate in the meetings related protection and relevant inter-sectorial coordination at the field level and raising the update report to line manager.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with key partners/ actors in the community (children, caregivers, community leaders, schools and service providers such as government authorities, INGS and NGOs).
- Maintaining regular and closing collaboration with the project team members to harmonize approaches and methodologies of response, sharing challenges and best practices and ensure that child protection is mainstreamed into the project intervention/ activities.
- Comply and adhere to and promote AlAwn and donor Code of Conduct, PSEA policy, Child Safeguarding Policy, procedures and values, both inside and outside of the workplace.
- Any other tasks required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of practical experience in this working area with INGO/ NGO.
- Strong communication skills with local communities and authorities.
- Positive attitude and stress resilience and work under pressure.
- Commitment to learning and implementing organizational policies and procedures.
- High professional ethics.
Education:
- Relevant university degree in Sociology or psychology, or equivalent professional qualification.
Languages:
- Arabic Language.
- Fluency in the Somalia and Ethiopian languages is an advantage.
