As a result, the organization has established itself among the most effective civil society organizations in Yemen that are working on health, education, and WASH issues in support of women, children, and youth. Job Information
Job Title: Field Project Officer (1).
Location: Aden.
Contract Type: Full Time.
Contract Duration: 6.5 Months.
Start Date: As soon as possible.
Job Description:
The role of the Field Project Officer is to plan, execute, and manage projects according to strict deadlines and within the allocated budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver the project according to its plan. He/ She will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the Project, as required, vis-a-vis donor organizations, other international organizations, as well as national Government and non-governmental institutions.
- Ensure proper professional relationships with relevant national and international partner organizations or foundations.
- Follow up to Operational management of the achievement of project outputs according to the project document and the procedures in Convention document.
- Ensure implementation arrangements are carried out smoothly; in collaboration with all parties involved in the project
- Prepare and update project work plans in collaboration with Donors and close liaison with beneficiaries and related stakeholders.
- Ensure gender mainstreaming in all project activities.
- Supervise project overall management
- Get her/himself profoundly acquainted with the project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with project officer and donors
- Develop full-scale plans and associated communications documents to achieve the project objectives.
- Develop, supervise and deliver progress technical reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations as requested
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members, partners, and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Set and continually manage project expectations, indicators, and milestones with team members, partners and other stakeholders.
- Ensure the implementation of the project in accordance with the financial management and procurement systems at SOUL and in compliance with DONORS’ requirements.
- Master and approve project disbursements.
- Ensure customer satisfaction for both internal and external project clients.
- Follow up evaluate project team’s performance with project assistance.
- Understanding the Project and Project Management.
- Structuring the Project Organization and Analyzing the Project Context.
- Building the Team and Preparing the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
- Executing and Controlling the Work and Terminating the Project.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor Degree in Management or any other related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in education in emergency and child protection projects.
- Prior experience in working with IDPs.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Willing to undertake regular field visits to other governorates.
- Good analytical, and excellent oral communication, teamwork and people skills
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to details and high level of accuracy
- Effective listening; verbal and writing communication skills.
- Strong command of both Arabic and English languages is essential written and spoken.
