Post Title: Program Officer, RMNCH +Nutrition services

Based in: JSI office in Aden, Yemen 
Reports to: NYMA Executive director 

Organizational Background    

The National Yemeni Midwives Association ( NYMA ) a local NGO based in Aden would like to hire a program officer for a project funded by USAID through JSI 

Qulification Requirements:

• BS. Degree/ master degree in managing health related field.

English Language : Excellent Reading, writing and specking 

Position and responsibility 

The Program Officer is expected to have previous experience and skills to carry out the following activities:

1- Training and management skills 
2- Responsibilites in improving quality of RMNCH +Nutrition services
3- Supervising and monitoring project activities 
5- Data collection for monitoring progress and impact of program activities

The Program officer will be based at JSI office in Aden and will carry out the following functions:  

1- Supervise Community officers at the 3 targeted governorates and follow up the implementation of the community based RMNCH +Nutrition services 
2- Organise training activities for community midwives to develop their skills through in-service training courses to enable them provide high quality of RMNCH +Nutrition services 
3- Guiding CMWs and CHVs towards developing the ability of communities and families to care for newborns at home including support and promotion for initiation and continuation on exclusive breastfeeding as well as building sustainable linkages between communities and referral services
4- Through the proposed project the Program Officer will ensure support to the most vulnerable children and women through scaling up and  strengthening Community based IYCF, and RMNCH+Nutrition services 
5- Supportive supervision for the project activities in coordination with the district and governorate health offices
