The IRC Yemen began its programs in October 2012. Since establishing its presence in the South of Yemen, in the Red Sea Coastal city of Aden, the organization has grown from just an implementing small project to handling large scale emergency and relief operations. Following the war which broke out in Yemen in March of 2015 and the humanitarian disaster, which was crafted by the same, IRC launched one an emergency response program in the southern governorates of Aden, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwah and Aldalea.  Currently IRC Yemen is operating in eight governorates in the south and north of Yemen and Sana’a and Hodeidah in the North through direct programming and through local partnerships, in Health, WASH, Nutrition, Economic Recovery Development, Education, Child Protection, Gender and Women Protection and Empowerment.

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) have been working in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) for more than forty years. Today, the IRC has more than 2,200 staff working across the region, including in Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Syria, and Yemen to support those affected by some of the world’s most complex and protracted humanitarian crises.

SCOPE OF WORK:

The IRC Yemen Country program has been established in 2012, and currently is implementing coordinated Health, Nutrition, Environmental Health (WASH), Economic Recovery and Development, Women Protection and Empowerment and Education programming in eight governorates. It operates with main offices in Sana’a and Aden. Other subfield offices include Abyan, Hodeida and Al Dhale’a, with Al Dhale’a office also covering Lahj, and Abyan office covering activities in Shabwah.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under Supervision of Senior nutrition manager nutrition program assistant will be responsible for the quality and accuracy of nutrition program. 

WORKING RELATIONS:

Regular and open communication on day-to-day with officers in field locations.
- work closely with data management team to ensure the unique beneficiaries matching with the database.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create a database for child discharge cured from the program and receive weekly data from the field for Shabisa cash and ERD. 
  • Maintain an accurate filing of the expenditure – petty cash, physical files, and soft copies (e.g.: receipts, payment requests, etc.).
  • Prepare all necessary documentation and make all arrangements for movements and missions of nutrition team members, including weekly movement plans.
  • Track and maintain accurate filing of monthly trackers including PR tracker, training Tracker, Payment Tracker, and training trackers for all grants.
  • Submission of monthly HR package of Timesheets, AL for the program team in Aden.
  • Participate and provide logistics and administrative support for trainings, and workshops held by nutrition.
  • Work on unique beneficiary database in a weekly basis for all grants.
  • Assist in translation of any assessment or survey.
  • Any other duties asked by the supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS: (Qualifications, Skills and Abilities):

A.    Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, Diploma, Internship and Trainings in Nutrition with score 90 and above from 2020 – 2024.

B.     Experience:

  • Essential computer literacy (MS Office, Internet\ emails and systems).
  • English and Arabic Language both essential.

C.     Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and time management communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Excellent people skills, culturally sensitive with the ability & interest to work in a multi-cultural team.
  • Careful of details in document reviewing and correcting.

D.    Proficiencies:
