Job Title: Solar Engineers (5) – Solar Project

BCHR is a leading national non-governmental humanitarian agency with a global mission to alleviate suffering, poverty and oppression by helping people build secure, productive and just communities. BCHR is a non-profit and non-governmental organization aiming to provide health, nutrition, food security and protection services as a humanitarian response to the escalating socio-economic situation in Yemen since 2015.

The Solar Engineer will supervise the implementation of the solar power project, ensuring quality standards, and effective project execution. This requires a candidate with experience in solar projects or any similar projects. This position is responsible for ensuring safety at the site, managing employees, optimizing site performance, conducting installation and maintenance schedules, investigating accidents, and communicating.

Job Duties

• Supervises the installation and testing of solar system.
• Monitors the project implementation, solar items and components storage.
• Facilitate communication between consultants and the project site team.
• Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Promote safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment. 

Required Qualifications

Knowledge

• The ideal candidate should have 1-3 years of experience in solar projects or any similar engineering projects, some computer knowledge, and be able to create spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft Software Programs. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

Education: Bachelor's degree (B.E.) in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
