Organizational Context and Scope:

Under the direct supervision of the Program Coordinator (WASH) the successful candidate will be responsible to support information collection, data management and reporting of all aspects of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) programme, implemented by IOM.

Core Functions / Responsibilities:

1.    Support IOM WASH unit with preparation and organizing assessment, monitoring, evaluation, data management including geo-database preparation and maintenance data analysis and preparation of reports including recommendations, and maps.
2.    Support to facilitate effective information management workflows in relation to operations and programmatic implementation; perform regular monitoring as per agreed project indicators and timelines; update activities status and support to prepare progress reports. 
3.    Produce and update standard information products based on IOM WASH 4W data, including maps, infographics, dashboards and district profiles on a regular basis. And support need-based analysis through data management, GIS analysis to identify targets, coverage, gaps and end line survey components of WASH.
4.    Facilitate effective use of designated information systems, including offline and online platforms, application tools, and other systems to manage the implementation of information management mechanism. And support in developing monitoring tools and use Kobo platform to maintain digitally data gathering and analysis.
5.    Assist in development of project monitoring framework and guideline of project/program activities under IOM direct implementation as well implemented through partnership and update on periodic basis.
6.    Draft the donor report at interim and final stage and share with WASH Officers, Programme Manager for review and finalization to submit PSU.
7.    Coordinate development and enhance integrated approach for need assessment, data collection, data gathering, filter and generation of information, and produce working maps as required by WASH programme and external circulation.
8.    Keep accurate and pertinent records of all correspondence, project development and reporting files and administrative information for future auditing.
9.    Report WASH activities to Yemen WASH Cluster on monthly basis in timely manner as well as respond to all IM related requests.
10.    Perform such other duties that may be assigned by the Programme Coordinator (WASH).

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education

  • University degree in statistics, social science, Information Technology, development planning, geography and urban planning or a related field from an accredited academic institution with four years of relevant professional experience; or
  • School diploma with six years of relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Experience in collection, consolidation, storage, and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources.
  • Experience in succinct information analysis and report writing.
  • Good understanding of design and development of Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Accountability methodologies and tools.
  • Previous experience in establishing and managing complaint-response mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of digital data collection platforms and methodologies including Kobo platform and GIS is mandatory.
  • Excellent computer skills: excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email/internet software, statistical analysis packages.
  • Good skills in training and capacity building in M&E.
  • Knowledge of SPSS and Access database is an advantage.
  • Previous experience monitoring WASH activities and/or GBV activities is an advantage.

For this position, fluency in Fluency in Arabic and English is required. is required (oral and written).
