Job Description

Job Purpos

To assist in all cleaning duties pertaining to the Aden Office and Guesthouse with ensure having health and clean-living and working environment,

Dimension

Ensuring proper admin support through maintaining safe, healthy, welfare and hygienic access to accommodation, housing services and working facilities in all premises used by Oxfam’s staff and visitors.

The Role

  • Wash bathrooms, mop floors and clean fixtures.
  • Sanitize kitchen floors and counters.
  • Vacuum and wash carpets and sweep floors.
  • Clean offices, rooms, halls, lounges and corridors.
  • Empty and wash wastepaper baskets and ashtrays.
  • Replenish bathroom supplies and disinfect bathroom floors.
  • Wash dishes arrange dishes in cupboards.
  • Do laundry and cloth ironing.
  • Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
  • Organized washed and ironed clothes in wardrobes.
  • Request repair services for broken fixtures and furniture.
  • Wash and stock towels.
  • Change bed sheets regularly.
  • Ensure the availability and restock house with supplies.
  • Clean the walls on monthly basis
  • Any task requested by line Manager.

Experience, Knowledge & Competencies:

  • Proactivity and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and the ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely.
  • Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy
  • Able to manage time effectively
  • Ability to work both alone and in a team

Desirable:

  • Previous working experience with INGO doing similar role.
  • Self-Smartness
  • Ordinary level education
