ADRA Yemen is undertaking programs in Yemen in the fields of health, nutrition, WASH, food security, livelihoods, and protection.

SUMMARY:

The Field Coordinator is to coordinate the support and program functions at Field level and run the day-to-day support functions at a field office. He is responsible of overall administration, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of the programmatic activities in the respective governorates. The Field Coordinator is accountable for effective program support to facilitate the application ADRA policies and guidelines to achieve the objectives of the project. This is achieved in coordination with the Health, WASH, Nutrition and FSL supervisors and the project team including programmatic and support departments. 


RESPONSIBILITIES:

The “Field Coordinator” will be responsible but not limited to:

  • In coordination with the head of sectors, The Field Coordinator will participate in ensuring that timely execution of project activities is done according to the donor’s guidelines.
  • Manage day to day HR & Admin, finance, logistics and security tasks of the field office.
  • Contribute in collaboration with various stakeholders including security and local authorities.
  • Contribute in developing detailed work plan to include clear effective implementation plan and to support timely delivery of planned activities.
  • Maintain effective coordination and close relationship with all stakeholders to information sharing and knowledge networking.
  • Ensure strong donor compliance, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) and quality control procedures are understood and entrenched in all project activities and honestly raise challenges and issues faced at the field level to Deputy Chief of Party.
  • Prepare and ensure required reports and submitted on a timely manner in compliance with ADRA policies, and donors’ guidelines. 
  • Represents ADRA in the field and any of the offices in the governorates.
  • In coordination with health, WASH and nutrition facilities supported by ADRA, prepare, and distribute plans for any supplies.
  • Prepare and supervise the training courses for multi-sectoral workers.
  • Follow up with Warehouse Keeper to submit a monthly inventory of the medicines in the health Facilities in coordination with the Health Coordinator.
  • Follow up with Admin Officer to submit a monthly inventory of the office asset.
  • Supervise the staff and volunteers in the field, collecting weekly and monthly reports, and ensure the entry of the collected data.
  • Ensure that all project activities are well documented and archived.
  • Evaluate personnel responsible for performing program activities and duties in the field.
  • Any other duties as requested by his direct supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in medical, engineering, food security or any other related fields.
  • Qualification in public health/community or multi-sectoral management a strong asset 
  • 4 years of professional experience of working in Field Coordinator Positions, Preferably in Humanitarian NGOs.
  • Strong skills in writing, evaluating, and analyzing data in reports.
  • Very good computer skills e.g. Ms. Office.
  • Ability in evaluation and conducting assessments and surveys.
  • Ability to deal with program cluster and reports.
  • Excellent English proficiency.
  • Very good communication skills.
  • Very good leadership and planning skills.
