Qa/qc Mechanical Inspector

Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA/QC Mechanical Inspector to join our team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control in the mechanical industry.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct inspections and tests on mechanical systems and equipment to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
  2. Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to verify that the installation and fabrication of mechanical systems meet the required standards.
  3. Inspect and test materials and equipment received on-site to ensure they meet the required quality standards.
  4. Prepare and maintain inspection reports and documentation, including non-conformance reports and corrective action reports.
  5. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve any quality issues and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  6. Participate in pre-construction meetings and project kick-off meetings to provide input on quality requirements and procedures.
  7. Monitor and enforce compliance with project quality control procedures and protocols.
  8. Conduct audits and surveillance of subcontractors and suppliers to verify their compliance with quality control requirements.
  9. Provide training and guidance to project personnel on quality control procedures and best practices.
  10. Ensure that all work is carried out following applicable safety regulations and company policies.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control in the mechanical industry.
  2. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment.
  3. Experience in conducting inspections and tests on mechanical systems and equipment.
  4. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  5. Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  6. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  8. Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  9. Proficient in the use of inspection tools and equipment.
  10. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Professional Experience & Certifications:

  1. Total 7-8 years of diversified experience in EPCCI-based projects comprising Oil & Gas/petrochemical, processing plants & Refineries etc.
  2. Possess valid (at least 1.5 to 02 years validity remaining) certifications including but not limited to the following:
  3. Certified Welding inspector of CSWIP 3.1 as minimum
  4. Certified Coating Inspector of BGAS Grade 01/02 or NACE Level I/II
  5. Certified QMS Lead Auditor ISO 9001 2015 from IRCA-UK approved body.
  6. Possess ASNT NDT Level II as a minimum (RT UT PT MT). Geographic Experience
