Your day-to-day:
  • Supervise the day-to-day functioning of all restaurant employees, facilities, sales, and costs
  • Supervise coordinate and directs the prompt, efficient, and courteous service of Food & Beverage in the restaurant
  • Control and analyze, on an ongoing basis, the following:
  • Quality levels of production
  • Guest Satisfaction
  • Merchandising and marketing
  • Operating costs
  • Sanitation, cleanliness, and hygiene
  • Establish and maintain effective employee relations
  • Conduct, under the guidance of the Food & Beverage Director and the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, such functions as interviewing, hiring, employee orientation, on-the-job performance, coaching, counseling, and suspension if necessary to ensure appropriate staffing and productivity
  • Develop formal training plans and implement job training sessions for restaurant employees
  • Attends and contributes to the daily Food & Beverage briefings and monthly meetings
  • Conduct pre-meal briefings and maintains liaison with Executive Chef
  • Participate in service as necessary in accordance with the requirements and practices of the restaurant
  • Ensure hotel grooming and appearance standards of the staff in the restaurant are met
  • Control stocks for daily use in the restaurant to ensure service requirements are met
  • Schedule guest reservations and arranges for private parties in the restaurant
  • Participate in the preparation of the Food & Beverage department budget and goals
  • Conduct all administrative work required, including but not limited to:
  • Attendance records, Duty Roster, Guest index, and Logbook

What we need from you:
  • Communication skills - guests will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you’ll be easy to talk to
  • Your problem-solving skills will turn issues into opportunities so every guest leaves with great memories
  • Fluency in the local language - extra language skills would be great, but not essential Literate and tech-savvy - you’ll need a good grasp of reading, writing, basic maths, and computers
  • Flexibility - night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job
  • Previous experience in a Food & Beverage/Restaurant operations management role
  • Passion for leadership and teamwork
  • Strength - sometimes you’ll need to lift, push and pull big objects up to 50lbs (23 kg). This can involve bending and kneeling
  • Eye for detail to achieve operational excellence
