Responsibilities
· Design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in buildings and other construction projects.
· Collaborate with architects, construction teams, and other professionals to integrate these critical systems seamlessly into the building’s design.
· perform calculations to determine the heating and cooling loads required for the HVAC systems
· Based on the design and load calculations, MEP engineers select the appropriate mechanical and electrical equipment, such as HVAC units, pumps, generators, electrical panels, lighting fixtures, etc.
· ensure that all the systems they design and install comply with relevant building codes, safety standards, and regulations.
· provide cost estimates for the installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, helping project managers and clients to budget appropriately.
· overseeing the installation of systems to ensure that the work is carried out correctly and meets the design specifications
· Before the building is occupied, MEP engineers conduct testing and commissioning to ensure that all systems function correctly and meet the performance standards
· involved in its ongoing maintenance and upgrades to ensure that the systems continue to operate efficiently and reliably
· In case of system failures or issues, MEP engineers diagnose problems and find solutions to rectify them.
- Assist in the receipt and review of MEP submittals.
- Coordinating and administrating MEP-related materials, systems, and shop drawings.
Qualifications
· + 7 years’ experience in construction projects.
· Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
· Excellent communications skills required for interaction with vendors, designers, consultants, and clients.
