As an Escape Room Game Master & Receptionist, you will be responsible for creating an immersive and enjoyable experience for players in an escape room setting. You will greet customers upon arrival, guide players through the game, provide hints when necessary, ensure safety protocols are followed, maintain the overall integrity of the game and the cleanliness and organization of all shop’s rooms and facilities. Your role is essential in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that players have a memorable and engaging experience.

Skills

  1. Customer Service:
  • Greet customers upon arrival and provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Explain the rules and objectives of the game to players before they enter the escape room.
  • Answer any questions players may have about the game or facility.
  • Provide assistance and guidance to players throughout the game as needed.
  • Handle any customer inquiries, complaints, or issues professionally and promptly.
  1. Game Management:
  • Monitor and supervise multiple escape room games simultaneously.
  • Control the flow of the game, including starting and stopping the timer.
  • Observe players via CCTV cameras and provide hints or clues when necessary to keep the game progressing.
  • Ensure that all game elements are functioning properly and reset the room after each game.
  • Maintain the secrecy and integrity of the game by not disclosing any spoilers to players.
  1. Safety and Security:
  • Enforce safety rules and guidelines to ensure the well-being of players.
  • Conduct pre-game safety briefings to inform players of emergency procedures and exits.
  • Monitor players to ensure they are not engaging in any unsafe behavior or causing damage to the room.
  • Respond quickly and appropriately to any emergencies or incidents that may arise during gameplay.
  1. Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other game masters and staff members to coordinate game schedules and rotations.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for improving game designs, puzzles, and customer experiences.
  1. Administrative Tasks:
  • Assist with booking reservations, processing payments, and managing customer records.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the game rooms and common areas.
  • Keep inventory of game props, equipment, and supplies, and report any shortages or damages to management.
  • Complete opening and closing procedures for the facility, including securing the premises and performing routine maintenance checks.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Fluent English is a must. Fluent Arabic is a plus.
  • Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or entertainment industry is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in Escape Rooms game mastering role is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of technology and ability to operate audiovisual equipment.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move around the facility.
  • Tidy, hygienic, and organized personality is essential to convey their ability to maintain an orderly and efficient workspace.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Must pass a background check.
  • Certification in CPR and first aid is a plus.
  • Training provided by the employer on escape room operations and safety protocols.
