Technical Office Manager / Landscape

Job Summary:

The Technical Office Manager - Landscape is responsible for managing and coordinating the technical and administrative functions of the landscape projects. This includes planning, design, documentation, budgeting, and ensuring that all landscape projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with landscape architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Oversee the preparation of technical drawings, specifications, and other documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.

Technical Oversight:

  • Review and approve design plans, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the project team.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Resolve technical issues that arise during the project lifecycle.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Prepare cost estimates and manage project budgets.
  • Monitor and control project expenses to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Allocate resources effectively to ensure timely project completion.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, permits, and progress reports.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation of all project activities.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Lead and manage a team of technical staff, including landscape architects, engineers, and technicians.
  • Foster a collaborative working environment and promote teamwork.
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities for team members.

Client and Stakeholder Management:

  • Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and expectations.
  • Communicate project progress and address any concerns or issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing landscape projects, preferably in a technical or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of landscape design principles, construction methods, and materials.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the landscape industry.
