Group Procurement Sourcing Manager

Egypt - Cairo

• Create, develop and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies. 

• Manage the company’s supply portfolio ensuring transparency of spending. 

• Review, develop and ensure the implementation of expenditure reduction initiatives. 

• Cooperate with stakeholders to guarantee agreement on terms and processes. 

• Review and develop cost analyses, and benchmarking techniques.

 • Discover and partner with trustworthy vendors and suppliers. 

• Lead business reviews with the procurement teams, business users, and suppliers.

 • Perform gap analyses for the scorecard measures. 

 • Review, update and lead category strategy deployment.

 • Review, recommend and ensure the implementation of policies and process improvement recommendations.

 • Support team members when needed and manage both inhouse and external parties.

• Review, calibrate and ensure a balanced workload within the team and, if necessary, proposes adjustments to the Group Head of Procurement.

• Oversee and control the system backups runs with different stockholders.

• Revie and ensure the execution of procurement best practices within the team.

• Ensure Internal Control and Compliance requirements are known and respected. 

• Review, update and propose procurement category strategies in alignment with the corporate business strategy.

• Communicate the approved procurement related strategies with other procurement managers across territories. 

• Approve Purchase Orders according to DOA and ensure adhering to Procurement Policy and Procedures. 

• Manage and control supplier registration, pre-qualification & document handling across the assigned categories. 

• Track and Improve supplier performance and develop improvement action plan.

• Ensure blocked invoice resolution on time and ensure a smooth transition in solving problems. 


• Proven work experience as a Sourcing Manager or Procurement Manager. • Excellent understanding of Procurement Cycle, Policies, and Procedures. • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management. • Knows difference between the types of procurement spend categories as capital, corporate services, IT, etc. • Effective influencing/negotiation skills and sustain networking relationships • Ability to develop and implement RFI/RFP process and bids. • Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement • Strong numeracy and analytical skills on financial data including P&L. • Ability to draw upon local and regional/global networks to obtain knowledge and insights that can create value through alternate procurement strategy and solutions. • Solid judgement with ability to make good decisions. • Knows well internal control and compliance principles. • Differentiates knowledgeably between “operating principles/guidelines” and “policy/rules.” • DOA/DA knowledge and use.
