National Microfinance Foundation announces the opening of applications for the position of "IT Consultant" to join the Project Management team. IT Consultant is responsible for organizing promotional activities, Report project progress, Manage meetings and participate in code reviews to assess the quality and progress of development work, Collaborate with Donors to define project requirements, timelines, goals, deliverables, and milestones, Conduct regular status updates and reports on the project's progress, highlighting any challenges or risks, and carrying out project progress according to the approved plan from the Head of projects Department , in order to achieve the project success. They are also responsible for Performing any related work requested by the project management department, including generating reports, analyzing data, and providing technical insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Report project progress to the IT and Project Management Departments and collaborate with team members to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Manage meetings and participate in code reviews to assess the quality and progress of development work.
  • Manage meetings and participate progress of development work.
  • Act as a liaison between NMFY and the development team responsible for building the electronic platform.
  • Review code and conduct thorough testing to identify and resolve bugs, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Report a detailed information about project obstacles (if exists).
  • Analyzing and determining security threats in Development, and Report them.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the development team, offering expertise in Python (Django), Bootstrap5, and database management.
  • Collaborate with Donors to define project requirements, timelines, goals, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Monitor the development team’s progress, ensuring adherence to project goals and deadlines.
  • Conduct regular status updates and reports on the project’s progress, highlighting any challenges or risks.
  • Providing advice on technology best practices.
  • Monitoring the success and the progress of Developers.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency, and innovation within the development lifecycle.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in Python (Django), Bootstrap5, and relevant technologies.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to platform users as required.
  • Perform any related work requested by the project management department, including generating reports, analyzing data, and providing technical insights

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of at least 5 years as an IT Consultant or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Python programming language and Django framework for back-end development.
  • Solid understanding of front-end technologies, including Bootstrap5, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience working with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing secure web applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other front-end frameworks like Tailwind.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and services such as AWS or Azure.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Experience in ERPNext 
  • Familiarity with Frappe Framework
