Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) Meal and Data Entry Assistant (national position)

  • Contract details: Permanent / Full-time–depending on the grant
  • Duration: A full-time position with a probationary period of 3 months

We also run missions in several countries in crisis. Our interventions – of both humanitarian and development character – have been carried out in 48 countries so far. We concentrate on ensuring sustainable and stable development of regions suffering the consequences of war and/or natural disasters. We possess long-standing expertise in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), but also implement projects in Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), psychosocial support (PSS), as well as Primary Health, Nutrition and Education. About PAH Yemen Mission PAH Yemen Mission has been officially established in July 2019 and currently provides humanitarian assistance in WASH, Health, Education in Emergencies, CCCM and Protection for most vulnerable communities affected by conflict in Ad Dhale, Abyan, Marib and Aden governorates.

Position reports to: CCCM & Shelter Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Use Kobo Collect to accurately collect information on residents, their needs, and the services and assistance received.
  • Act as the primary personnel for uploading assistance (distribution) data, managing the seamless upload of registration, exit, and other survey data onto the ASSIST system. Additionally, take charge of editing existing data on the ASSIST system to ensure accuracy.
  • Perform data entry. Download data regularly from the ASSIST system onto Excel, and manage the Excel documents. Use Excel to produce summary statistics and graphs.
  • Provide on-the-ground capacity building for data collection enumerators, ensuring they are well-equipped with the necessary skills to carry out their responsibilities effectively.
  • Interact directly with camp residents to address their concerns related to their registration in the camp and to amend the information held relating to them.
  • Monitor Activity Info Reports and report the progress of CCCM, Shelter, Nutrition, and Protection projects from beginning to end.
  • Conduct analysis of data as needed, and work with CCCM, Shelter, Nutrition, and Protection Officers and SMC field teams to ensure information is used to inform programming.
  • Produce regular outputs and reports for programs teams and submit regular reporting to CCCM Officer and program coordinator; Compile data received from field teams, conducting data cleaning as necessary.
  • Ensure the collection of sex and age-disaggregated data, maintaining a focus on the diversity and specific needs of the population in all the project sectors.
  • Answers all calls by beneficiaries reaching through the organization’s toll-free number, treating all callers with respect, courtesy, and confidentiality and sensitivity.
  • Building collaborative relationships with beneficiaries and the community.
  • Ensuring that all feedback and complaints received are categorized, filed in the database, and directed through the appropriate channels until each one is resolved and each case is closed.
  • Handle routine questions and requests for information.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of all complaints received, following strict protocols to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Any other responsibilities or support as assigned by the CCCM & Shelter Officer or program coordinator.

Requirements:

Educational Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in IM, or another relevant field.

Work Experience:

  • At least 1-3 years of professional experience in an Information Management position in a humanitarian setting
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in working with NNGOs & INGOs

Languages:

  • Excellent command of English and Arabic
